Even women competed in these grueling races, which lasted for hours or even days. Newspapers questioned her femininity and the wisdom of letting women compete. One newspaper even published a photograph of her leg to show what effect cycling had on the female form. “Bicycle Racing Transforms Lovely Woman From a Pale Beauty Into a Perfect Fright.” Photo is from about 1896

  4. I had a mid-sixties ford econoline van that needed the timing adjusted semi-regularly. Used to take the engine cover off the and loosen the bolt holding the distributor and adjust the timing as I went down the road. Plugs were right there next to the front seat.

  8. NSFW!!! You've been warned Holy crap, can you imagine a guy saying these things to Tyson? It doesn't hurt that she's insanely hot. Mike gets a good one at 1:15. How can we get her to join this site? I think her humor fits right in.

  11. My twin sister is getting married, again (hopefully last), on the 19th. Last time I made their wedding bands as a wedding present and did the photography. This time I was supposed to do nothing. Ha. So last week my sis comes to me asking if I can help make her bridesmaids gifts "special". She wants something to help the girls remember they helped her tie the knot. She didn't know what she wanted but wanted me to make five of them and for less than $100. This is the results:

  25. I would love to spend the day with family and friends, sailing with my wife and boys and all the friends we have met on the water over the years. End the day with a shrimp boil, some good music and a few cold drinks. Take time to tell each and everyone of them what they meant to me. Try to impart a last bit of wisdom to my sons. Cherish my wife and let all of them know that they should not be sad as my faith tells me that I am going to place of indescribable joy and that I hope to see each of them there someday.
