I tried watching it that way, but it didn't help. Made it too hard to see the screen.4 points

Thank y'all for this. Normally when I design something, an iPad case for example, we will place it in our test store and if it sells that design is marketed to our client list, those that don't go in the dollar bin. The flag I'm doing for free, act of civic duty. And it is not something I can stick in a store to see if it sells. Feedback from a "random" group is amazingly helpful, especially when the symbolism goes beyond, hey that's cute. Again, thank y'all.3 points

Rode 31 miles this evening. By the time I got home from my normal Sunday activities (church and lunch with family etc.) thunderstorms were predicted. I got my bike stuff on and started my ride, I could hear thunder in the distance and the sky was dark. I decided to go anyway. Good choice, I didn't get wet or struck by lightning. I think the clouds and stuff messed up my GPS signal. I was careful to run the Lake Wilhelm loop exactly the way the segment is laid out on Strava but Strava said I went off route (can't go off route, it's a bike trail around the lake). I've been KOM on that segment since 2013 but I like to try to improve my time.3 points

You could ask Couch too. As I understand his entire wardrobe is nothing but pirate shirts, and no pants.2 points

We returned home Friday afternoon, but have not had time to check in with a wrap up. Once the first couple of days were done drenching us with rain, the weather turned rather nice for most of the duration. I was able to unwind rather quickly and begin enjoying myself. One of my brothers in law is a corporate executive with a large multinational firm you have likely heard of, and he spent several of his mornings on conference calls to Europe. At least the work I took with me, building a few wheels, is relaxing. Sucked to be him. My step daughter and our month old grandson arrived from Halifax in the middle of the first week. My wife's 60th birthday was Friday, and all her siblings, grandsons and most of her nieces and nephews were there to help her celebrate. One of my other brothers in law lives close by the cottage we were staying at. He brought his boat for water skiing. I have done it in the past, but we're talking long distant past, like 40 years. On my third try to get up, I pulled my right hamstring, and I spent the rest of the vacation in discomfort. The corporate exec BIL did himself a similar injury, but his left a large red mark on the inside of his upper thigh. He must have torn something. He was in more pain than I was. I got through the first book and got a good start on the second. Got 5 wheelsets built.Did a bit of biking, but the pulled hamstring kept the rides short in the hilly terrain. Great times, over too soon.2 points

Ultimately any combination of stars with bars is going to draw criticism from somebody. I will probably be on the next train to hell for saying that.2 points

I come across such people from time to time. I let them be unhappy all by themselves. They need no help from me to stay that way, and I've got better things to do than get dragged down by their sour outlook on life.2 points

oh, Oh, OH!... My wife just told me what her daughter said a week or so ago. "All I want for my birthday is for (my husband) to paint the bathroom." Which he did on Thursday while she was at work. She would bitch if you hung her with a new rope.2 points

Next birthday, do a Breakfast Club. Get her a carton of cigarettes, slap her on the shoulder, and say "Smoke up, buddy!"2 points

Now that's funny! I have learned my lesson over the years. I hate cards. I hate spending 5 bucks on something so wasteful and stupid in my opinion. But the wife has to have a card. I could get her a new Porsche and no card and she would be pissed. But I could not show up for her birthday party because I was snorting blow off a hooker's ass and all would be forgiven if I had gotten her a cute card.2 points

I saw this posted on some other site, and it seemed pretty successful. Thought we could try it here. Yesterday my wife picked this up for me. Haven't used it yet, likely first ride tomorrow.1 point

Go to Costco. Buy a package of boneless/skinless chicken breasts. Place them in a large ziploc bag with some EVOO, S&P to taste, other seasoning to taste. I often use lemon juice, rosemary, garlic etc. Grill them all on medium heat, eat your dinner and let the rest cool. wrap individually and place in freezer. Easy peasy and you control what goes into and on them. No injected chemicals that alter the flavour and texture.1 point

I can't stand the AWD SUV/Crossover cars. I like good old 4x4's so I have a Jeep and Toyota FJ. My wife's Rav4 is a nice car but even the 4 wheel lock disengages at 40km/hr. What good is that in snow and ice?1 point

Wow....that was painfully bad. Not even "so bad it's good". It was just bad. I only made it through about 1 minute.1 point

Like Krazy said, most are just cars that get really bad MPG. I like the looks of the new explorer but the base models are front wheel drive.1 point

I have the same helmet, I approve of your purchase. Technically it's not a purchase but yesterday I picked up a replacement seal for my Specialized Air Tool pump. I like lifetime warranties.1 point

Don't know what MIPS is? It's the Specialized Prevail. I had the Giro Synthe, but sent it back. Hated the strap setup. Expensive helmet, with crappy strap system. I like this one a lot better.1 point

I believe the style is called Foose or something like that. It's named after this car customizer. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://how-rich.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/How-rich-is-Chip-Foose.jpg&imgrefurl=http://how-rich.org/how-rich-is-chip-foose/&h=650&w=1525&tbnid=bH8jYgL_we6NDM:&zoom=1&tbnh=87&tbnw=204&usg=__JRIpu8mPi3CO2ktx3D_lY7ZTiHg=&docid=043pFBnSFHo2MM&itg=1 To some degree everything becomes overdone and ghetto eventually.1 point

Cantilevered decks can be a lot of work. It is really dependent on the orientation of the existing floor joists. Unfortunately, yours ran the wrong way.. Alternately, they could have scabbed one on the side using a ledger board and support posts but that would be an eyesore. It will be a very nice addition to the house and WoTy will be happy. I am looking forward to seeing the finished product!1 point
