Much easier to play when someone else is doing the singing. I used some dude's (singing teacher) to do the vocals and music so I could play along.5 points

My desk office was so trashed from weeks of audit prep that I had to spend some time filing and cleainng up. The owner of the company and one of the founders both commented on it today. Amazing how something as simple as cleaning up your desk can improve your outlook and attitude. When things are messy in my personal or professional life, I get grumpy and irritable. What things little things improve or damage your outlook on life?4 points

and BTW...with all the socks on here. Why doesn't @Lindy have an account? something like Lindy the Agility Dog He could tell us about his trials. When he zigged instead of zagged and why. What he really thinks of waffles. If he would like bacon with his waffles. How easy it is to get out of his jail cell crate. Big decisions in his life structure. Nap? Play? Eat?3 points

Half heartedly threw on some outside clothes and tossed the fattie in the truck. I didn't think there would even BE a trail with all the warm weather we had. I was shocked to see how much snow there was and that it was actually groomed!!! I rode on some of that (there isn't much), some snowmobile tracks, some snowmobile trail, and blazed through a couple inches of snow on a little section of trail no one has ridden or snowshoed lately. I only did 3.5 miles. I haven't ridden lately and didn't want a heart attack. But it was really good to get out.2 points

Do you want me to post a short story to entertain you? Here's one I wrote for a contest. We were given this picture as an inspiration. “Lower the drawbridge!” Owen skittered across the low hanging tree limb and latched onto a dry twig. He snapped it off, and waved it in the air like a mighty sword. “Get out of my castle and never come back! No? Then prepare to fight!” He lunged forward, swinging his weapon at the branches blocking his path across the arboreal bridge. With each thrust and parry he advanced, vanquishing his foes. When he reached the end of the limb, the brave swordsman leaped to the ground, rolled in the grass and sprang back to his feet. He spun around on one foot and kicked at the air. “Into the moat with you, scoundrel! The crocodiles will finish you off!” Owen continued his advance through the autumn leaves, running, tumbling and plunging his wooden blade into the bushes and tall grass. People driving by on the narrow country lane appeared oblivious to the battle raging just off of the pavement—Owen was equally oblivious to them. He continued to cut a swath through the invisible army until he reached the driveway, then doubled back toward the house where his father stood peering out of the big picture window. Owen waved at him before running back to the big tree. “There’s something wrong that boy.” Owen’s mother looked up from her book. “Why? What’s he doing?” “He’s running around the yard yelling and poking things with a stick.” “So?” “So, the neighbors are going to think he’s crazy.” “He’s not crazy, Dear. He’s just playing.” “He’s talking to himself again. Why can’t he just play video games like the other kids?” “He’s not like the other kids.” “That’s what I’m saying. He’s not normal.” “Okay, I guess it’s time I told you.” She set her book down and patted the couch cushion next to her. “You’ll probably want to sit down for this.” “That sounds ominous.” Owen’s father sat and faced his wife. “There really is something wrong?” “Yes.” She took his hands and stared deep into his eyes. “It’s genetic . . . something that runs in my family. My father had it, I have it, and I’m afraid I passed it along to our son.” “Is it serious?” She lowered her head. “Very.” “Can it be cured?” “No, it’s something he’ll have to learn to live with.” He gripped her hands tighter. “What is it?” “I don’t really know how to tell you this.” “Just say it straight out. I can take it.” “Okay, here goes nothing. Owen has . . .” She took a deep breath and shook her head. “An imagination!”2 points

Little things? I was thinking about this while avoiding getting out of bed this morning. To me there's nothing better than the smell of freshly cleaned sheets... Then the sound of one of the dogs hacking up on the bed to damage the moment...2 points

Same here, wife is 63, I'm 67. We never expected to live this long. Wife has survived four bouts with cancer with one of them where they never expected her to make it. Congratulations on the 44 years. We will celebrate 42 years in November.2 points

Thinking about the tiny chain ring got me thinking about Zealot and that got me thinking about "The Adventure". We have some really cool and interesting people on the forum. I would do an adventure with those same people in a heartbeat. Next time we have to manage a way to get Further and Old#7 to go and DP needs to make sure Mike goes again too. Mr. & Mrs. Z really left an impression on me, I am so glad they went. I already expect TK and Ralph to be Awesome, they don't play games and hide who they are. I'm ready to do another SW's adventure this summer.2 points

I might be buying a second car. Yea for a guy who drives 400 miles a month at most, this decision could be the most rational one yet. Kim Dong Beemer2 points

Just out of the Navy, had ducked haircuts for almost 3 months. Womaxx was 5'11" and wore flats so as not to be taller than me. She was 19 and I was almost 27.2 points

I dug into the paper pile on my bench today, threw away about 2/3rds of it. Some because it was redundant, some because it was out dated, and a lot because I hadn't a clue what it was. I didn't feel better about myself, felt a bit worse to tell the truth. I spend too much time doing crap, and not enough keeping track of the crap that has been done, and the crap that needs to be done. I think I'm a functioning example of the Peter Principle.2 points
