I survived! It was a rough start, but then I found my groove. My first pedal stroke with my bad knee was a bad one. I wasn't ready to do it, knee wasn't warmed up...ugh. I went about a half mile and went home. I shed my jacket, and I took the 90° flexion stopper out of the brace. I still kinda pedaled with a gimp, but by then I could do a full pedal stroke. And all was well. It was slow, but it went well. Thanks for your support!9 points

What??!! Noooo!!! You must ride this century and absolutely love it! And then you will mock the people here who really DON'T ride because you absolutely love to ride bikes; road bike, CX bikes, MTN bikes, and best of all FAT bikes!!! P.S. You'll be great on that century! Whoo hoo!4 points

..they are under performing. This must change. Their like to post ratios are below 500. It is up to you senior forumites to welcome them and like the their posts. At least for a month or two, then we can destroy them and feed their remains to Cheese.3 points

I rode my old Mt. bike a couple miles around the hood, a few hundred yards off road on the trail down by the crick. And I'm pretty proud that I did that much.3 points

Gym. Once around the machines plus triples on lat pulldown & military press, a lap of PT exercises, 20 minutes of dreadmill. Had +11k steps before noon. Good sweat I've averaged +10k steps and +3k calories burned per day this week.3 points

After the last hurricane, WofTy had me take my truck and go pick up a handmade "platform" someone threw out. She wanted me to make a "floating dock" out of it. Well the current floatation stuff is way too expensive for a piece of crap "platform". I couldn't find any torn up Styrofoam in the marshes. Anywhere. So, I went to Home Depot and got six of their "Let's Do This" buckets and they fit perfectly between the cross pieces. Just added some 2/4 pieces across the lids to hold them in place and viola. I did not get a picture of the four 12 year olds who put it through it's paces last weekend, but it held together and was graded "Awesome!" by all. It's anchored to the bottom and the brown float thingy is there for when the kayak is anchored in the creek.2 points

Riding home Saturday in a stiff breeze of 20+ mph, I spot "Old Glory" standing straight out very near my home. I was set back a little because I know where all the big flags are around here. So I ride on up and see that it is a new installation at an empty Target store. It's like 30' long or something like that. Surrounding it are the flags of all 5 armed forces and a POW/MIA flag. So I talk to the workmen on site and the guy tells me the owner is serious about his feelings for the services.2 points

The staff made the warning before I went under that I should not make any decisions before the effects wore off. I was kidding the nurses after. I proposed to one and bought a house off the other.2 points

I’m really rooting for you! (That way you won’t need to ride vicariously through @airinpie‘s posts and she can shut up about biking)2 points

Stopped at a gas station on the way to my parents Friday. A young guy, kinda handsome, paid for $50 of gas with all singles. After he walked away I said to the cashier, He must be a male stripper with all those singles. She answered in a really good deadpan "Him, no way he'd have that many singles". I cracked up.2 points

64 miles from West Yellowstone to Old Faithful and back. 41-55 degrees, sunny, 35-55 mph winds. The next snow storm was about 2 hours away from West Yellowstone when I headed home.2 points

Maybe he will eventually improve his riding skills to the point where he can ride straight ahead without the board flipping around and turning over and stuff.1 point
