Grandparents had a much needed granddaughter time and allowed WoGolden, SisoGolden, and I to go-to the Tampa Bay Lightning fan fest. This year was better than previous years. Better food, usually they have simple faire, hotdogs and chicken tenders at all the food stations. This year they had all the restaurants open so fish dish for wife, BBQ for me, and a grilled chicken salad for the sister. Yum! Practice and scrimmage was good fun, the young players were hamming it up and even some of the super serious veterans were having fun with the fans. Got some great pictures with players and quite a few new autographs. 9800 people was the total fan count. Not bad for a glorified practice with cheerleaders. How was your Sunday?8 points

With six or maybe seven billion folks on this planet, I'm betting there are a LOT of trends like this one. My wife and I have recently been comparing notes on how many married couples - living in the same house and seemingly happily - sleep in different beds/rooms. A lot of it comes down to various health reasons or different sleeping habits/schedules, but I hear about it more and more. I know my wife and I started dating and I only had a twin bed which was more than enough for us! Then, we evolved to a double, a queen, and finally our massive king. We could still handle a double, but then the dog would have to figure out a new place to sleep Tom4 points

I wonder if gastroenterologists are extra busy giving colonoscopies on Punctuation Day. I think I'm OK; I just need a semicolonoscopy.4 points

I don't even know where to find an In-N-Out Burger joint. Whataburger is poplar everywhere, and folks would eat more at Chik-Fil-A but it's always so crowded I don't think anyone goes there anymore.2 points

...when you modify your quotes like that, it's better to use a different one that does not link back to the original. Just giving you the benefit of my experience.2 points

What's amazing about this photo is that Mr Cleaver envisioned the future silhouette of Americans!! No way the pear shape was "normal" back then, but now it is! Pretty wild! Tom2 points

...I went to the Sunday farmers market, then put the color coat on an 80's Atala bike I'm painting. I'm going with a subtle fishnet design in silver and white, so it was a little tedious tying on the netting for a mask. This evening I watched something highly political on TV, that I had recorded earlier. I can only talk to @Wilbur about it, for obvious reasons. But it was very current and politically charged with tension. Chuck Todd was on the edge of his chair. That's all I can say.2 points

...the Jewel of the Sacramento Parks System, the American River Parkway/MUP Here's one end of it up where it goes into the town of Folsom: And here is where it ends at the Sacramento river confluence with the American: I wish everyone had access to a similar facility, so I try to ride more to make up for those who do not.2 points

It's not Hartnell, he's upright on his skates Flyers are taking a beating on this today. Not just the hideous being, but the name, too. Already the local populace has replaced the "Gr" with a "SH". This organization has been really good for many years in decisions like this, I can't understand how in the world this happened. I think someone in the Penguins organization has been putting LSD in the Flyers' HVAC system.1 point

BTW - he is the best mascot in ALL pro sports. And likely Philly folks (and surly Pittsburghers) beotched about him at first too. Tom1 point

It can be quite different...if there are no joint children. I wasn't interested moving in with dearie when he divorced and plus shared custody of his then young teenage children with his ex. Divorce is tough on children and I would have been a fool to think I could be on par as a 2nd mother figure without dealing with a lot of angst and conflict. Other women would see it as a window to fill their maternal instincts (without having children). I don't see that way at all. Besides I met dearie just a few months after I bought my own place. I really wanted to enjoy my own place, not give it up. He was happy to raise his children when they were with him, in peace. We ended up living together when we both relocated to Vancouver from Toronto.1 point

...now that you have control of him as your sock puppet, you should make him start a thread about what a wonderful, caring person you are. Add something about how you are his best friend in the whole world, and he owes it all to you.........stuff like that.1 point

It isn't my single track. It is everyone's single track. E-Bikes are killing our advocacy fight for being allowed in pristine places. They are basically electric mopeds. Sustainable Trails Coalition is fighting for our inclusion to wilderness. We don't need E-Mopeds ruining our voice in that fight. Also, I was almost hit by one on the bike path. Some of the people on these bikes can't ride very well, and now they have added speed. It is an ugly combo in certain locations. They only belong with other motorized vehicles.1 point
