  2. I've been off the bike for over a month so decided to go for a beach cruise to get the legs spinning again. Took the Anthem so i wouldn't have to kit up. @donkpow lots of Ohio St jerseys & hats, seems like a good number of fans are in town for the rose bowl. Sunny low 60's. Oh well time to head back...

  6. If you have depression era parents, ask them for some recipes. My favourite as a kid was tuna casserole and I am pretty sure I could stay within the $3 per day budget. I fast 2-3 days per week and that really stretches the budget out. Stay away from sugar and food cravings diminish greatly.

  12. ...luxury. When I was a lad, the old man would have us race around the vacant lot where we lived. The last place finisher was supper for the rest of us. But we were 'appy in those days.

  16. I finished up my shift at 2:00 am last night, walked the beast and watched a little bit of Luo Dong before going to bed. I woke up around 12ish, took a bath and walked the beast again. That's two miles of walks so far and two bowls of Virginia Perique Crumble Kake #2. Delicious stuff. Now I'm sitting in Wegmans drinking a regular Coca-Cola while waiting for Pat to pickup some fresh fruit for the Juicer we purchased as a Christmas gift. Meep likes the juicer and puts her paws everywhere she can while the juicer is running so we often have to put her in kitteh jail. She's a bad cat. We plan on watching Bama lose tonight at a local sports bar. I'm going to eat tofu wings while Pat plans on having a few cocktails. It's a busy day and I look forward to playing Halo tonight and the rest of the long weekend. I couldn't do half of the half of these things with my last job. I would have billed at least 20 hours over the weekend with the last gig. I'm extremely grateful for my current job and express this often to my manager. It's a completely different lifestyle in that, I now have a life. Ylva is a bad dog. Couch

  23. Last night/this morning's pictures were worth the price of admission. I had wondered how the possum had gotten up on the table and now I know. Hang in there baby. Later the doves and birds found a time slot to attend. And finally this poor squirrel who seems to have tangled with something. He has patches missing on the other side too.

  27. I hated to see it go but my wife refused to camp in it anymore and one of the guys I worked with wanted to buy it from me. I always enjoyed seeing the looks on people’s faces when I drove that fifty year old motor home into a campground.

  29. First, let me thank everyone for your support and interest in my thread. Great movie, but unlike the pampered, sheltered life I grew up with in Sans Souci Greenville, South Carolina, you are exposed to true sadness. MomCheese no longer edits my movies so that can be tough. A- "Almost Home" (from "Benji" soundtrack) If your heart believe in dreaming There's no other place I know When life rolls on by without a care for tomorrow Yeah, that was the life of me Yeah, that was the life of me How long we start travel along this journey Guess I count a million stars along the way And every time I start to worry Something whispers in my ear Says the words along to hear Almost home Almost home Might be lost and afraid But I'm just a dream away I'm almost home Almost home Feel so cold and alone But I'm almost home Just one more mile and I'll be home free Just one more day and It's all my heart needs I'm gonna get there Yeah, I'm gonna get there Someday Almost home On my own Might be lost and afraid But I'll get there someday Almost home Almost home Feel so cold and alone But I'm almost home Almost home

  30. I took the day off and we headed up to a snow park in the local mountains. We went sledding in innertube things and had a blast. My SIL and sons GF had never been to the snow!?!? Well I hadn't seen snow until I joined the Army... It was chilly for sure but we had a good time.

  34. Was Ruby's mom used as breed stock? Like over & over & over? We fostered a few Goldens that were in bad shape from that situ. I would imagine there were more underlying problems too. What is the breeder going to do otherwise? Seems like Ruby's mom should be playing in meadows and laying by the fireplace after her service *yes.

  39. I could, but It would be boring. I'd be raiding too many places for ketchup packets. The cats would be deciding whether it was smarter to eat me before I ate them.

  41. I would make a pot of stew. I'd get a turkey leg or some cheap chicken. Cook it up with a pound of lentils, a crap load of rice or barley with some veggies. So I'd have a big pot of stew that would be dinner for a week. I'd switch up the spices each night, sometimes I'd add part or all of a can of cream soup, usually mushroom for variety. It was very cheap. I had a really good bakery down the street, and had Russian rye with real butter with the stew.
