I don't have cable but I wanted to watch the motorcycle race so I went to the corner bar. Everybody in the main bar watching baseball and I have the whole back room to myself. I kinda like it this.4 points

After having a few tractors stolen and taken for joy rides from construction sites, we used specially designed "tractor clubs" afterwards. Never had a tractor stolen again. They're also helpful for fending off clowns with num-chuks.3 points

I always found it funny how people complain about traffic cameras. They get challenged all the time and often times dismissed due to administrative or procedural miscues upon deployment. But at the end of the day you ran a red light or were speeding. You may not like the speed limit (usually put in place due numerous complaints and extensive traffic surveys) but it’s still the law. But it’s entrapment.... I actually had someone tell me that because I was running radar in a blind spot on a downhill. Entrapment, please. Pretty much this. The cameras generally do lower speed, illegal turns or running red lights. People hate them but most adapt to them which is the ultimate goal, stop the behavior. On cold mornings I’d sometimes set up in a conspicuous place in an area known for speeding, sit in my unit and drink coffee. People would drive by and look at me snidely. I could read their faces, ha fucking pig you didn’t get me. Me drinking my coffee thinking, ha stupid fucker I got you to obey the speed limit and all I had to do is sit here and drink my coffee....3 points

So far: UVA made a miraculous comeback from being the first ever #1 seed to lose to a #16 last year, to winning it all in the NCAA Basketball Tournament this year. Tiger came back from many years of physical ailments and surgeries to win his 5th Masters at age 43. I wonder if Lance and team US Postal are planning on riding in the Tour this year?2 points

Went to see our new lambs today. The 2 ewe lambs with their dam. We just get the lambs not the dam. They will be coming home on May 5. Our ram is only 10 days old. He won't be coming home till August 15 since they will be showing him at several large shows. Don't have a real good picture but this will have to do for now. He is the white one with the black legs.2 points

I'm hoping the old fashioned way of going for a walk comes back in style. You know, where people go for a walk and enjoy their surroundings instead of just staring at their phones?2 points

We never had lame fellowship hour coffee when I ran the cafe. I served Colombian Supremo from a local roaster.2 points

Cement is curing. Mats arrive on the 25th. The engineer figured that 86 of them will need to be cut. Drive has to freeze, thaw, freeze to really settle in. Yes, twice, also some crusher run, now gravel.2 points

Did church/dance ...rehearsal was great..but I lost my balance a bit..so I wasn't too pleased with my performance.. we did movement to the second reading..which was actually put to music. From there I headed to the gym..the Trader Joe's..had about an hour to kill for some washers to get free...So I called the "Plant Guy" from work..he went to Mayo on Wednesday (when we had all that snow) for a follow-up on his cancer treatment...they will do chemo first and then some kind of proton radiation stuff..The outlook isn't great...he is worried he will lose an eye..So we chatted a bit.. So now it is laundry and just chilling...maybe a quick grocery run when laundry is done...and a Bored Meeting tonight to call the former president on the carpet for over stepping his authority! Oh Yay!!!2 points

Those 2 in the pictures are smaller. Only 59 and 56 lbs. Most use regular mountain bikes. I like all the grip of the fat bike especially when I am running with 2 dogs pulling. 56 lb lab and 48 lb husky2 points

Kadri wasn't innocent in the knee hit and Debrusk didn't try to hit him. Debrusk's hit wasn't cheap. Yes, if left alone, Chara would have pummeled Kadri, as was deserved. I hope Kadri is out for the rest of the season, regardless if the Bruins move forward.2 points

The human body contains trillions of microorganisms — outnumbering human cells by 10 to 1. Because of their small size, however, microorganisms make up only about 1 to 3 percent of the body's mass (in a 200-pound adult, that's 2 to 6 pounds of bacteria), but play a vital role in human health.Jun 13, 20122 points

My introduction to pierogies came when I spent Christmas with my wife to be's family. I ate a memorable amount, enough to mentioned years later. My beer consumption was also noted.....2 points

An even 50 with a new climb tacked on that I only recently found out about. It's a new neighborhood under construction, but hits 17% for a little bit, so tougher than I expected. Neat, though. Crazy busy out there, but glorious weather!2 points

...if the talent pol is that deep, and your commitments at work are open ended, it seems like an easy decision. I'm not sure how well the father as Scoutmaster thing works out anyway. I've seen one ASST Scoutmaster dad and son combo that was not all that healthy (IMO).2 points

....3alarmer is a big jerk. The rest of that stuff is probably true, but hopefully it will encourage the people who wrote that stuff to move on. There are so many whiny bitches out there on the local streets already, we don't need any more of them. One of the strange and unexpected effects of climate change has been that we get a lot less tule fog in the winters now. There's both good and bad in that. I just got back from the River Park Garden Club first annual garden tour. Of the six gardens selected for it, only two were worth seeing, so another example of how this is a terrible place.2 points
