  1. The weather looked nice so I thought it would be a good chance to ride a century. Traffic is light in the park and the road is closed to cars from Taggert to Signal mtn. I made it to Flagg Ranch before the road was closed and I had to turn around. Signal mtn was open which is unusual this time of year. It was snow covered and icy near the top. I saw another rider go down trying to ride through one section. Yellowstone in the distance. I was able to get to within two miles of the south entrance.

  9. Okay...I have no memory of that pic that I post..What I do remember... Writing a letter to the Easter Bunny telling him to "Please put the baskets in a higher place" when we got our dog Easter items...always hidden..usually some candy in a basket..but a stuffed bunny one year..ALWAYS a garden set (back in the day of brightly painted metal....rake, hoe and shovel), a colorful metal sprinkling can, (I use to "help" my grampy in the garden)..oh and plastic boats..cos (okay this year is late for Easter...but) often we would try to float boats along the curb...although as kids we found twigs floated better than the larger plastic boats...Often Easter dresses, bonnets and little white gloves were covered by winter coats and mittens We had food traditions...and did a "blessing" of food at the church..food that would be used for Easter Breakfast...Ham..a Crofa (or maybe Krofa?...basically a jelly filled fried doughnut..with NO jelly)..Potica (a Croation/Slovenian sweet bread)..I also remember my mom making some kind of buckwheat and ham dumpling for "Granpy".... I don't actually recall the taste but they were a funky grey color I also always did a dark purple egg...when doing the colored eggs...but I would not eat them...it was a texture thing!! Last but not least...remember my mom blowing out eggs and we painted them and placed them on a branch...last year I put all my old eggs on an awesome tree..on Saturday before Palm Sunday...and didn't enjoy them due to the Shingles...but for my mom..it was a "family" craft activity..my mom was artistic and did some awesome eggs...as a kid mine were so-so...I did a better as I got older..Haven't painted an egg in about 10 years or so...

  24. So sorry to hear this Wheels. I myself have to self-catheterise as my bladder is ruined due to an incompetent Doctor. It may well be that there is a psychological or physiological component to having to go so frequently but that does not explain the pain. It's been my experience that medics do tend to think along well-travelled lines and rarely practise original thinking about ailments. Every change to my treatment has come about from my own suggestions and searching for new information regarding your condition I would see as essential. Please accept my best wishes for a speedy resolution. I find it very heartening that so many here have shown that they do care very much for your welfare.

  25. My wife always gets the paper maps. She is a bit 'directionally challanged' and cannot figure out how three rights make a left. She follows along on maps and uses them to orient herself to landmarks she knows. A few years ago we spent some time in Iceland and drove the whole way around the island over a week or so. So there we were, with her with her paper map and seemingly every town had 12 letters and they all started and ended with "V", and every time I turned a corner she rotated the map.

  29. I bought another watermelon yesterday. The grandkids will be here tomorrow. I also bought some giant strawberries and more bananas. The LGS has been getting some amazing corn on the cob. I would never buy it from a grocery store before, especially in the off season but I don’t know where he gets it. It’ snot as good as fresh from the garden but it’s getting close. The GKs love corn on the cob.
