Slightly slower pace of life, family everywhere, and a great dinner last night.8 points

48/50 dad. 43/50 for me. Good enough for a tie for first in the Dad/daughter category. It was a beautiful day to be outside. My dad went on to shoot 98/100. He was unhappy. I stopped at 50 and did not compete in the registered shoot. PS we won a ham. No bacon.7 points

I'm going to enjoy the freedom for a while and in a few weeks I will do something part time. Millennium technologies witch sponsors our racing has offered me a job rebuilding engines part time.5 points

The VW is the only vehicle that has not been totaled via insurance due to hail damage. It is a 2009, and I will be able to get permanent plates on it next year. So yes, I pull it inside when there is a chance of hail, and I have time. No need to have all the vehicles totaled.4 points

“Rabbit's clever," said Pooh thoughtfully. "Yes," said Piglet, "Rabbit's clever." "And he has Brain." "Yes," said Piglet, "Rabbit has Brain." There was a long silence. "I suppose," said Pooh, "that that's why he never understands anything.”4 points

BMW shipped it from NJ in its own enclosed car carrier. It was not with any other cars. The sales guy whose been there a while said he's never seen that. I just went and signed all of the paperwork, ouch, that hurt. A lot. I will get it some time next week, the insurance / registration part is a pain. I got to sit in it, it's really nice.3 points

That’s what I did. I didn’t know I didn’t have to work. I showed up ready to work and they told me they had someone else to take over my crew for me just to walk around. They brought in pizza for everyone at lunch time and the VP presented me with a gold watch and then I went home.3 points

For my coming coming out of softball retirement. To be honest I have been itching to play again but the nagging pain due to bone spurs in my heel make me a little nervous. But being in the field and dug out with my kids is freaking awesome. I went to the batting cages last night as I knew if I popped up or worse yet stuck out I’d never hear the end of it from them... Took me about 10 swings and I was feeling good again.3 points

Nice. Tonight I ate half of a baked 1 lb haddock filet that came out perfect in texture, moisture, and taste. I cooked it after dousing it with lime juice, salt & pepper then covered it with salsa, an easy Mexican twist on haddock pizzaiola. Scalloped potatoes and peas completed the meal.3 points

Ruby usually spends the day attached to her mother’s hip. Then she goes bat shit crazy greeting me and daughter #1 whom she hasn’t seen for a while.3 points

Good point. So many cars today are black, white, or gray. Boring as hell. Says the guy with two black vehicles.2 points

66.28 miles. I rode my age + 1. The first 30.28 miles was the Tour de Cure. The routes had to be revised due to all the flooding. We were supposed to do that route twice, but I didn't like it even once. Therefore I drove over to a bike trail and did another 36 there.2 points

Sometimes? Is pretty much every day! She really hates me. But today, daddy slept five hours. Maybe he will be in a better mood. I'm taking her to Cobbs hill soon. Shu Fang2 points

On our way now. My dad says he had a very crappy shoot yesterday. 40/50. I laughed and told him that was the very best he should expect from me so he better do better than that.2 points

Step 1: Occupy the best chair on the deck. Step 2: Have Wo46 crack a cold beer for you. Step 3: Breathe deep and relax in the solitude of the four-stroker while she busily walks back and forth on the lawn.. Live long and prosper BR!2 points

They are not in season in Rochester but they are here at the shore. I bought a flat at the organic farm joint. 5 bucks a quart. Sharing with family by making a fruit salad for today’s party.2 points

Today was almost a normal work day till noon. After the gathering for cake and snacks in the break room I went back to the machine I was working on and started cleaning out my toolbox. Wondered around and said my good by's the last hour of work.2 points

I took my wife to the CCS to get a treatment. I stopped at the LGS on the way home and bought some steaks, cooked them on the grill when we got home with some sweet corn. After we ate she said I should go for a bike ride or take the kayak out. She makes all kind of demands2 points

Kid #3 (SonofZ) is in his last co-op for his Mech Wng degree. An avid diver he wants to work in the deep sea submersible field. Through his own initiative he managed to get his co-op at a world industry leader, so I thought that was pretty cool, until this week. This week he took his first dip in a 3 man sub. And he had the gall to send me pics of him overseeing it going in the water and him in it. And to top it off, it was the sub built for and used in James Cameron's "The Abyss". I kind of hate him right now.2 points

All I know about small subs is I would have to pee 5 minutes after launch. (PB4UGO)2 points

Someone we know with Airedales had an incident yesterday. She was at Burger King at the drive through window. The employee saw her cute Airedale in the passenger seat and held up a dog biscuit while asking if the dog wanted one. At this moment the Airedale jumped through the window and into the Burger King. Startling everyone and answering the question about whether she wanted a cookie. Owner was embarrassed.1 point

Very cool but I can see your point. I can relate, a little.... as part of Civil Air Patrol, my 12-yo son has taken the controls of a Cessna 172 and a glider (I forget the make/model but I'm sure he remembers)1 point
