I've lost about 25 pounds since I started this diet. Prob a little less, but the most I've lost in 20 years. Manana is my blood sugar test, I don't do them at home, at least not yet. I don't mind if you don't believe me, I worry my scale is lying to me to make me feel better.. If I had to pick the thing that made the biggest difference, it would be staying away from sugar. Which doesn't mean fruit, I eat a ton of fruit.7 points

Earlier today, I put an empty 1.5qt ice cream container on the floor for Lad to clean. He sometimes takes them to his crate, and will have his head buried inside when we walk by. This time he took it outside. My wife indicated I should go look at the front porch. There in fading light sat Lad holding the ice cream carton by the top, as if he was protecting it from the sheep grazing on the front lawn. You'll have to imagine the image just as you imagine that I exist.7 points

The bathroom needs sanded and painted, but is usable. I'm a bit worried about running out of nice weather, so the ramp is a higher priority. Still needs painted, but I'm sure we'll have a few nice days yet.5 points

You're not a bad person. You're just a dick. (It has not escaped me that neither Kirby nor Ralph would reply such.)4 points

Amazingly at each cycling route destination, I ate. Ate at the Italian grocery store, then later cycled over to a public open house by municipality on future plans of revising parkland, berm-paths for flood mitigation and transit rail extension updates, where it was coffee and a cookie. Then at a bookstore reading by 3 different authors on women in ranching history in our province where it was crackers, salami and cheese. I don't need supper. Just some fruit and yogurt tonight. ? Enjoyable day where I learned stuff combined with some cycling on a beautiful fall day.3 points

Nothing special, but walked around a bit while taking photos at the local cross country meet. That is in addition to doing the usual chores. It was a cool and windy day with passing clouds.3 points

62 miles, West Yellowstone to Old Faithful and back, 28-36 degrees, 5-20 mph winds, mostly cloudy with a handful of snow flakes. Some ice on the road on the way in. Now have 2002 miles for the year.3 points

My Daughters “Muslim” wedding was dry. One of our Mexican softball families who loves their Modelo was there and I noticed their table is the only one with red Solo cups... I walk up, Hey quit holding out, hook me up. What, what are you talking about?!?! What my ass, you know damn well I know what your hiding under the table! Big smile and the dad reaches down and pours me one! Nice!3 points

Not often, the only at work hug I ever gave was... There is a guy, we'll call him Robbie, cause that's his name. Well Robbie is a button pusher, he likes to screw with new guy's by pretending to be gay, and talking about prison time. So I was a new guy, but catching on to Robbie's tricks didn't take long. The mill shower stall is a room with a couple dozen shower heads, no partitions. I was just getting wet, hadn't soaped up yet, Robbie walks up, squeezes in beside me, and says "can we share?" I put an arm around his shoulders, and said sure. He about turned inside out getting away from me3 points

4.4 mile hike with ruby, daughter 1 and her husband. Along the Wissahickon, half easy flat trail and half hilly, rocky, and roots. I think I will sleep well tonight.2 points

My extended family is very close and I don't know any who don't LOVE group family shots. Here is most of our 12-member extended family group straining to get in the picture while flying home from our excellent 2017 Caribbean Cruise (I'm in the middle in te blue plaid shirt wearing glasses on the far side aisle seat): Here's family from several states at a reunion in 2006 in Virginia (I'm dead-center in back to the right of the porch post). The woman sitting in front, next to right, will be 100 next August. The hosts, sitting front left: my cousin Stanley and his wife Frances, are both passed away now so pictures like this are important and help keep extended family tied-together. Stanley's daughter-in-law Jessica, in the dark shirt at left in the 3-woman 2nd row, is a travel agent. Even though she doesn't live close to us, we had her arrange our 2017 12-member extended-family 7-day Caribbean Cruise and she got us great deals: low early-bird cruise price, $150 each in cruise-ship spending money or free drinks, and 25% off all side trips. Stanley, a former Air Force officer who also worked for the Navy who served NATO in Brussels as part of a weapons design team that made sure that NATO forces could use each other's ammunition, etc., passed away and was buried with military honors at Quantico National Cemetery in May, 2019. Few family members were able to make the short-notice trip to Virginia but my sister and I were closest in distance and thought it was necessary that some extended family members show up. Of course, a group family picture was mandatory:2 points

Hey Watersmeet is happening. While it doesn't have a Starbucks, a Mcdonalds or even a "proper" grocery store, they recently got one of those dollar stores.2 points

For years Mrs had cartilage growing on her spine, crushing her nerves. It progressively got worse where she would be walking, twist the wrong way, and fall to the ground in severe pain. They removed the growth with part of her spine and fused that section. She has been pain free for ten years. Had a friend who lived with extreme back pain for 30 years. They told him the surgery would be risky with a 50/50 chance it might paralyze him. When his self medicating started effecting his life negatively, he final had enough and had the surgery. It was successful and he wishes he had those 30 painful years back.2 points

Well, the old girl is still in here somewhere. I processed 7 gallons of peaches for the freezer, made bread, and granola. DH is in here. Just making significant changes out here. Hope they stick, cause I am doing pretty good. Brutus comes out to play today. ? My man is working, so so reason to have to go any certain speed. I admit I do want to ride my new bike. There are significant jealousies within the stable. Plus bike is being sold. Bye. Now, this monster is parked next to Brutus. Crazy world2 points

Leftovers (a/k/a second half of a Costco rotisserie chicken) Tonight will be leftovers part deux as I make chicken soup with what's left. Boil the carcass to make the broth then peel the meat off the bones. Add veggies and spices. So simple. Typically don't need a side other than crackers, but a grilled cheese sandwich is a possibility. Three meals for two off of a $4.95 chicken!2 points
