  1. To an online chess match broadcasted live in the Cafe. Afterwards, we both will play a piano recital piece where the forum members with the top ten IDs will vote for the winner. When I win, Mick will no longer be permitted to discuss Raven football in the Cafe. Cheese

  4. I just got home. This means that I have missed dog school with sweet Lindy. Einstein had to take him for me. My day was craptastic. I thought of relaxing with some bourbon and apple cider. That seemed like a terrible thought and a slippery pathway. So, I had iced tea instead. Drinking wont solve my problem.

  7. Paulie is sweet. He is also scary smart. you cannot multi-task with one task being watch him. He must be your focus. He has learned to sit if I have cheese but he checks for the cheese before sitting.

  8. Mine sure has its days....and I am beginning to long for retirement... Anyone know a man who would be willing to keep me in the manner I could become accustom to? He doesn't have to live with me...just "Keep" me

  9. You probably remember, but I had a job that I hated and co-workers that were terrible. When it was time to go, it was time to go. My family noted the difference in my attitude after switching jobs. I am so much happier than I was five years ago.

  14. It may be time to retire. Get 8 or 9 more dogs and take up mushing. The dogs may be much more affectionate than anyone you work with now. You may also go through your life savings and be homeless in one or two seasons.

  16. only tolerates me because I love cats. I call this the Kirby factor. Kirby only puts up with me because I love meows. This also applies to dogs. Aire, Couch, and Ralph only somewhat like me because I love dogs. No one loves me because I have 418 squirrels. It is difficult trying to be all things to all people. No clue why RR loves me but still hurts he loves his previous James more.

  19. After 2 full weeks in the hospital... Bruschi is scheduled to go home with us tonight at 6pm! He's on all oral meds, has all his drains, stitches, and staples out, and is eating and drinking well. We'll have to continue his physical therapy at home, but he is getting stronger everyday, and hopefully can do even better at home.

  21. Amazon is a doddle. Pick the item, pick one time purchase if it's an option, check out. If you don't have Prime, make sure the total is $25 so you can get free shipping. I could do it in my sleep, which worries me. It's way too easy. And you're vitamins are 3rd rate.

  22. I smacked right into that reality this morning. I've been playing with the idea for about a year. Feeling stressed, changing procedures, soldiering through. Today, I firmly realize that I cannot do this much longer. That makes me sad. Plus Einstein just lost his job in the closing of the engineering center.

  24. Wash in the machine, dry in the dryer, and wear. Normally wear denim shirts and buy a few nicer ones from LL Bean during their after Christmas sale. Only pants that I own that fit are jeans, so that is the way I 'roll'. Life is 'Good'!!

  30. which one was that...Banff or? I've been to major ones.... Banff (of course many, many times), Yoho, Revelstoke, Glacier National (in British Columbia), Gulf Islands National, Prince Edward Island National, Jasper, Elk Island, Kootenay, Waterton, Bruce Penisula, Thousand Islands, Fundy Bay National. I have not gone to national parks in the Arctic or near the circle. I haven't been Haida Gawai nor Gros Morne yet and actually never went into Georgian Bay National..... just on the edges of Lake Huron very close. In the US...only Glacier National in Montana. https://www.pc.gc.ca/en/pn-np/recherche-parcs-parks-search For Caanadian national parks. Banff National Park below near Lake Louise Only 180 km. from home. I have biked twice in summer from town of Banff...it is 130 km. one way to home.

  34. My number 24. The number should be worth more than one of the top 10, because of the incredible low number of posts. Kind of like a seldom used vintage bike. I’m not trading. I’ll be holding the number for another 6 years. Then, maybe I’ll trade for a new car.

  35. The pizza was pretty good. I found a salad recipe that was one of the best salads I've ever had, link below. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit this, but I'm not far from 70, and just now discovering real feta. It's is really good. https://www.williams-sonoma.com/recipe/tomato-salad-with-parsley--feta-and-pistachios.html
