  2. Our county parks are open but the parking lots are closed. Since I rode into the park, had wide open trails with just a few other mountain bikers. Nice 25 mixed road & dirt miles. Oh and the new rear derailure & gearing is suhweet. I noticed I have to push the lever all the way for it to shift now (maybe due to the clutch?) but it’s super smooth. About 3 miles in from the road, not a person in sight! Very rare for this trail.

  4. Scenic drive and a short hike today. But we didn’t think it through, and got caught without an open public restroom. I can answer that question about the Pope and the woods.

  6. We have not been hoarding. We buy what we need when we need it. I go to the store about once per week. Have not seen TP in my LGS in weeks. So this AM on jumped on my neighborhood FB page and asked if anyone wanted to PM me where and when they were finding TP. Within 5 minutes I hear a car horn and Romeo starts barking. A wonderful neighbor dropped off an 8 pack of TP on our front porch.

  8. Taking care of my wife keeps me pretty busy. I do lots of laundry, dishes, cooking, cleaning. She has noise going on the TV all stinking day long. Today we lost satellite signal because of the storm, it was nice to have some peace and quiet.

  16. I was on the phone with her and speaking in Chinese ...which is what she understands (and reads). Without me asking, she was able to cite the physical distance requirements, 14 day self-isolation ..and well, she didn't get into immuno-compromised because she is. She hasn't seen her daughter-doctor probably past month. Daughter didn't attend mother's 86 birthday at beginning of March because she had a cold. Daughter lives a half hr. drive away. Mother tends to lecture us. Yes, I know I am 61 yr. Sigh. But then she stopped with me suddenly. I think she realized she should worry about her doctor-daughter rather than me in the middle of the prairies working from home. The Chinese-language tv broadcasting in Canada (Toronto, Vancouver and whatever other areas) which have local stations for many years... are doing excellent public education for their local audiences. I can see the fruits of this via mother. Each parent is different....mother despite her Gr. 10 education, has a sharp, logical mind. If we present some facts in a logical sequence, time for her to think, she will comply with health related stuff.

  17. I've been working on a nylon string acoustic/electric built out of a wine box. Yesterday I modified the bridge to take a piezo bar pickup and got the neck ready to set. I don't have a current pic, but here's one from the lst time I played with it. I did some internal bracing to the box so it can carry the neck and bridge. Nylon strings have a much lower tension than steel, so I didn't have to go too crazy. I might have to add one more down the centerline of the V, but we'll see what happens when I string it up. The other build is an ES335 type of guitar. I'm getting ready to route the body and set the neck on that one. It's getting a set of the Surf 90 pickups from Guitar Fetish and a Varitone switch like B.B. King used on his guitars. No pick of that yet and it'll be a long time before it's finished.

  18. I just finished my first cup of coffee and want another one. However, when I looked down at the towel covering my legs, it has a bulge near my feet, where the Angora kid has laid down for a nap. He is lying between my feet. Last night after he ate and played vigorously, he crawled on top of my foot and went to sleep. He may have slept like that for 2 hours. I really want a second cup of coffee, and my wife and Lad have gone back to bed for a nap.

  23. I've been walking a trail close by. 5-7 miles depending if I start from the house or drive to the park to start It has been non crowded up until today. It's got a great view of the mountains and then a river canyon. The last mile is kind of boring & I hardly ever see folks on that section. Except today. Crap ton of folks walking, biking, jogging. Harshing my mellow I mixed in an afternoon bike ride this week to check out new brifters on my Kona now Ralph has got me watching Breaking Bad front to back

  36. Lots of homemaking. Made soap today. Cleaned. Worked out on the rowing machine. Did a 45 minute yoga session. Bass guitar playing. Organized the freezer, so I know what is in there. Laundry. Made more laundry soap. My husband tilled the garden by hand. Basically a bunch of home stuff. Wanted to ride, but lost the motivation with the rain and the cold.

  37. I've been trying to sleep more. I've been glued to YouTube trying to learn more about Chinese history and Asian history too. I've also been trying to find more scientific data on the virus too. Tomorrow, I plan disinfecting my office again and possibly doing laundry in the bathtub.
