  1. You all know that WoScrapr passed almost a year ago. Our boy (he's 24) texts me tonight out of the blue & says do you have dreams about Mom? I reply funny you should ask. Last night she touched my arm when I was sleeping. She startled me & I woke up. I think if I had not woke up we might have hugged. So young Scrapr says she came to me last night & hugged me & sang to me. I think young Scrapr was a bit freaked out about it. But he said the hug was really good Both on the same night. We are checking with other good friends to see if she came to them. I had only 1 other instance where I "felt" her presence but did not see her

  2. I know. I have been begging her to come to me. Every night when I lay my head down I talk to her and tell her I miss you & I love you. And please come to me. I cried every night when I talked to her until about mid January. Now it's only a couple times a week. Healing or a new normal is starting I told Young Scrapr I was really happy for him

  6. Not much, but wet enough to stick to branches, fences, etc. Older Angora goats felt invigorated and were running and jumping by the fence after Duke and I waked the up from their shed. First one is out the back door and second is general shot of the dry lot.

  8. is now on Amazon Music and other platforms. Music and lyrics are both his work. He played all parts and mixed it. I may be a little biased but I think it is pretty good work for a 6th grader. Reason to Believe by Tege Holt

  9. pssst...Gomez These things are all scripted. My eyes were opened BITD when Extreme Home Makeover was in our area. We were "invited" to contribute to the home. As in donate our labor & supplies. Meanwhile the "talent" deems to bless the crowd with their presence twice a day. Staying in their AC trailers the rest of the time. F them all

  12. Yeah, I was good at visualizing how you expected some code (mostly Excel macros) to execute, based on ‘typical’ user data and/or input. The fun was to trap errors from bad data, or unexpected user selections. From time to time, I’d get calls, your macro crashed. I’d see what they did or the data that was being manipulated, and OMG I never expected THAT. So, the next version was released with more robust error trapping. Me… just a geek mechanical engineer, who knew enough about programming to be dangerous. And saved a LOT of time for our department with some of my Excel work. My real job was not programming, but working with customers. Yeah go figure… I learned more on the job about interactions between people. I got good at reading situations and people too.

  17. 73. I come from the era of teletypes and punched card readers and progressed through the growth from native machine code to space qualified programmable CPU's on a chip. At one point I had to be able to fat finger the machine code into a computer via front panel switches to jump start the card reader to accept a programming deck of cards for troubleshooting. I learned my machine code programming by going through the instruction register of a CDC cyber 17 transistor by transistor following the program instructions. I'm much more qualified to work in the bit banging parts of the industrial world than in the business world. The best part of my software career was in having a big hand in designing the PLC controller systems that ran the jet engine test cells for P&W aircraft. We were later told by the manufacturer's reps of the hardware company that we were handling the largest PLC program in North America.

  19. Rancher! Talk about confusing as hell. I inherited this software project from this guy before he left the company and there was no documentation on how to build, store, and deploy or fix issues. Turns out he had a nasty hardcoded database value bured in a gazillion modules that was throwing the whole thing off. It was painful but I learned a lot. I may have grown chest hair. Rancher is a pain in the ass.

  27. It may be she is trying to reassure you both and give you comfort in this time of stress. I don't often dream of my mom..but I visited a mutual friend of ours who was dying..and I told her "when you see my mom, tell her I am okay..things could be better, but I'm okay"..about 2 weeks later about 4 in the morning..I woke from a very real dream where my mom said " your doing okay, things could be better but you are doing okay"...Later that day I called and found out my friend had died about that same time...

  29. I loved my little foray into Assembler, I just had to do enough to hook into an assembler program and then did the rest in Fortran. The program I hooked into was one of the most impressively documented programs I ever saw - this bit set by so and so and reset by someother so and so. I started trying to learn python but lost interest and didn't really have a need for it. It's a lot easier just to post here and watch Better Call Saul.
