Saturday is the Fourth. To celebrate I will be smoking a beef brisket and a rack of pork ribs in the Weber over hardwood charcoal and hickory chunks. For the ribs, I made a sauce tonight. Onion, garlic, bacon drippings, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, cider vinegar, beer, mustard powder, chili powder, cumin, coriander, and cayenne pepper. Smells good here. More better on Saturday.8 points

I got into it with the Director of Facilities earlier today. I found out we have a thousands of small hand sanitizers in clips, masks and alcohol for wipe down. I went back to where it’s being hoarded and started handing it out to the essential staff at my building to which I pissed off the facilities folks. Its not for me to determine who gets what is what I was told. Why buy the shit if your not going to issue it to the people who need it was my response. Just stay out of our stock.... I told them start issuing the supplies or I was going to lock their asses out and issue it myself. This elevates up to an EVP who said WTF get the shit out ASAP.... Right!?!? Now their scrambling boxing the shit up to go to all essential employees nationwide... My counterpart in facilities amazes me sometimes...4 points

Taken by a friend with his drone over the golf course in our hood. My house would be in the far distance in the trees under the building to the middle left.4 points

Nope, still working the dating sites trying to find mi$ter right.... My wife & her brothers are trying to get her in a better living situation by finding her an apartment where we will subsidize her rent. She then starts sending them links to 3 bedroom houses on a lake for rent in her old community... How about this one???But for now she’s still renting a room. Funny that my daughter can hardly tolerate her MIL and my son doesn’t really care for his GF’s mom. I don’t know where they get it from???4 points

True fact... When I was first learning how to cook, I would go to the used bookstore and look for the greasiest pages for good recipes.4 points

It’s part of the oath I swore to @Square Wheels when he let me in. You guys had to commit to certain duties and quotas, too. Right?4 points

Very. I used ginger, garlic, Thai chili peppers, red onion and radishes. 1:1 mix water and white vinegar. They are tasty and last longer as I’m the only one eating them. The radishes and red onion. The pickle juice is tasty.4 points

Just got off the phone with the pastor. She was at first reluctant to discuss this with with the Scouts or the Scout liaison. She wanted me to bring my concerns up with the troop leaders myself. I pushed back on that. My thinking it needs to be brought to the attention of the church and she as the pastor and the Scout liaison need to have the difficult conversation with the Scout leaders on what is acceptable. I also brought to her attention the possible ramifications of his posts going viral and how that optic would reflect on both the troop and the church. She agreed that would be an unwanted spotlight. I told her to research the Lost Cause of the Confederacy. That it would be helpful when the heritage not hate argument is brought up. I also mentioned that she is trying to rebuild the church’s youth ministry (the average age of the church right now is not much younger than the confederacy itself) and that having the Scout troop on campus is a great boon to that. She agreed, and said she would have the meeting with the liaison and get back i in touch with me in a week.3 points

is joining Aunt Jemima on the list of things that are no longer acceptable.... I wonder if we are all going to have to have the master cylinders on our brakes removed? Maybe that is what happened to Petite last week. The mechanic made her car politically correct.3 points

I took it for a short spin and it is smooth. Feels like it lost a pound in weight. The look of pride on Ryan’s face when I told him he was riding a bike that he had touched every single nut, bolt and bearing on was pretty cool. We did things nice and slow. And if we did not like the way something felt we took it apart and redid it. Tonight we pulled the rear wheel pulled the free hub body cleaned and re-lubed it and then reassembled the rear wheel and it rolls much smoother and the free wheel spins much better.3 points

Yep. I just need to sell it before it crashes. Live with her mother. Anything. Just sell high, buy low. It's not an ideal situation but it's the one I'm in. I fully expect to lose my job and watch the market crash. But I can tell you Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons are lovely this time of year. They can take away my shit but they can't take away my memories.2 points

A box of parts in the garage versus the awesome project you two have tackled???? HMMM. I think you WIN!!! Great to see that you have completed the build, and are testing it. Now lets hear the ride reports Hopefully he goes easy on you. And he now will have the confidence to FIX any issues that may crop up in the life of the bike2 points

Speaking of lighting bugs. To me this is super cool. I’m at my friend’s house trying out his new smoker on some chicken on his back porch. It’s late in the season for hem, but I still have a few on my driveway, like three instead of hundreds. And that is what I’m seeing here. Occasionally 3 maybe 4 popping off at the same time. Similar environment to my driveway too. Hardwood, low undergrowth, near water. I’m about 15 miles from Springwood. I think I just expanded their range in my county.2 points

This has been stewing. Now that I want to stay here, We want a home we will love. I could do the farm home, and remove a dormer, and make the front porch structure a little smaller. I am feeling very excited.2 points

You ever see something trend thinking......so I'm going to post this. Celia was learning how to drive their sidecar with Wo46 as the monkey. It didn't take long and 20 guys were standing there with cellphones in hand filming. When the two sidecar chick's were driving through the pits people stopped doing what they were doing to take pictures.2 points

A couple years ago we had sugar(?) ants coming in the kitchen. WoScrapr got some diamentaneous(sp) earth product. Spread it at the base of the foundation where we suspected they were coming in. One treatment. No more aunts2 points
