  1. Although the pics don't show it, this RC drag car is really purple. This is the current iteration of my drag car. There is another body in the works but that may take most of the rest of the year to finish as it's an approximate scale paint job for the Motown Missile Barracuda from back in the day.

  2. After making small talk and giving Ed my requests on Classic Country on Sunday morning, he said Thank You, Marshall. He actually read my birthday email and remembered my name. I know some will think it is lame, but what the heck. Hope you have a Great Day.

  10. I have been asked to be a guest on a podcast this week, and after getting my question "What's a podcast?" answered I agreed to do it. Does this mean I am going to be trendy and cool now? Should I order avocado toast at brunch?

  16. Hell yes... WoBG and I took more than a few trips just to ride roller coasters. My favorite wood track roller coaster is 'The Beast' at Kings Island. We rode just after a rainstorm, so the track was faster than normal. And it has 2 lifted drops.

  18. The usual 1 1/2 mile walk with the dogs. Today WoBG and I mowed the grass trimming around the trees, landscaping, etc.. She rides the JD and I use the push mower. I'm such a geek... I used my new watch to recorded my task. The GPS was confused a bit at the start.

  25. I had a 70 Charger - Plum Crazy with black vinyl top and matte black stripes. I'm just color blind enough that I didn't see the purple unless it was next to a blue car. My 99 Dakota is Deep Amethyst. Depending on the light, it looks blue, purple or black. WoW loves purple and always called it our purple truck. The clear coat started peeling within warranty. The district rep for Dodge authorized a full repaint. The guy at the body shop remembered me saying she loves purple, so he mixed in extra purple flecks when he mixed the paint. Apparently a street rodder saw it when he was painting i

  33. ...this kind of fire is not the old kind of fire. We didn't get the same explosive growth and mushroom clouds back when I was involved. The Forest Service used to have smoke jumpers, crews that would parachute in to remote areas and build firebreaks to try to control the more remote ones. The way these fires behave, it would be pretty iffy to dump a crew in the middle of one of these large fires. Not sure what those guys are doing now, but my guess is they are working in other ways than parachuting into a very random fire environment to take their chances. The Creek fire went
