Today we made Pad Thai at home from scratch without any sauce kits. One half was spicy shrimp Pad Thai and because womaxx is violently allergic to shrimp the other half was chicken Pad Thai. Oldest son did the cooking and there is no longer a reason to order it from the Chinese Restaurant in town. His is better. Upcoming meals include Kung Pao Chicken and Beef and Broccoli. I don't think there are recipes. He just sort of wings it.11 points

It’s been far too long, my lovelies. We won't have outlets, switches, or a backsplash for another six weeks. But our refrigerator and the last cabinet should arrive for installation this week.8 points

Similar to a "Jump to Conclusions" game, my big idea has always been a universal ootdoor appliance, a combination mower, snowblower, and generator. It would be a huge benefit for storage space, not to mention only one engine and appliance to maintain.4 points

I have split pea on the menu this week, which means bakery bread, too. I put a bag of cleaned and rinsed split peas into the crockpot with chopped half an onion, two potatoes, two carrots, a clove of garlic, salt and pepper. Add water an inch above and cook on low all day. A couple of hours before dinner time, I add a pound of kielbasa or smoked beef sausage and a handful of chopped parsley and continue cooking.3 points

It's like Christy on Mom saying the "z" didn't work on her laptop. Marjorie said, "And you typed a whole term paper without a 'z'? That's amazing!" "No," replied Christy, "That's astonishing!"3 points

I would like to get a new mower, but my old Craftsman I bought (from back in the days when Sears still existed) just keeps running. Bastard!3 points

I am back and I overdood it as per usual! It was worse because this was my first visit in aboot a year. Just a few things that I have no idea what to do with, like a coconut and a cactus pear.Oh yeah, also rutabega. :D Impulse purchases R Us.Got some nice marble rye bread and I didn't even have to mug an old lady for it! Only Pepperidge Farm though. And changed things up with serranos instead of jalapenos. And a nice assortment of apples, and cara cara oranges. This is a beeyootiful spring day here - sunny and sposed to go up to 43. So a dog walk and maybe a ride are in order.3 points

Why do they use nitrogen? If they would use helium they could lower the unsprung weight and get better handling.3 points

Sadly when I did my landscaping 20 years ago I never thought I'd live long enough to need a riding mower... So some areas I need the smaller mower for all the areas that my riding mower wont fit. The steep part near the culvert, inside the narrow gated poodle corral and around and under the spruces. And I hear you about not needing a mower now, I was using this today to flatten down the weeds out in the field near the house.3 points

It way less than shoulder replacement..Doc says..3 weeks in the splint then I start PT..I can use a mouse or keyboard..Shower after 2 days..drive when I feel comfortable..I think it will be 2 or 3 small incisions I plan to be off at least 1 week..and then see how things go...3 points

Hey @petitepedal, this is being done in same day surgery, correct? My shoulder replacement was accomplished that morning and by afternoon I was sent home. When you go home, there will be some in home care involved. I had a nurse come in daily for the first couple weeks. You’ll most likely have that as well. And when they start you on the in home PT, even though it hurts, it helps a lot. Thoughts and prayers as you go through this.3 points
