I overdosed on Viagra the other day. It was the hardest day of my life.14 points

Last weekend I bought a Peleton bike. We have had it for about 8 days and I have ridden it about 5 of those (tonight should be 6). It's odd, but I like it. I have always liked the high intensity spin type workouts. Get in, get it done, and get off the bike. My lifestyle right now just doesn't work with 2-3 hour road bike rides. It's very interactive, which is cool. I am hoping I can really get into this, I haven't found much to motivate me lately so this is kinda dope.11 points

Today was the first time I used the live update on my shiny new garmin computer. Left at around 5:30 put in a 30 mile out n back. Asked my wife if she got the email (she's on the notification) and she said sure. I was kinda excited interested and followed up with how'd it look. She said it was kinda boring. The dot was moving so slow. That hurt honey, that hurt.9 points

I've lost 7 of the covid 9 lbs that I gained. Since the start of the year it's been a steady but slow downward trend. I expect it to get better now that good weather is here. I bought lettuce for lunch.6 points

We had 75 people come to celebrate the life of Esther. A friend of my son’s flew in from Colorado for the service. His friend Ben’s mom made such an impression on him when he was growing up. I didn’t know how many people would come but but we had a good crowd for a memorial service during Covid. After the dinner a bunch of us went over to Ben’s house so the cousins will have one last chance see each other before my son John takes his family back to Georgia. A family that is real close to Ben’s came over for the day and Ben’s birth mom and her husband were there. Altogether 13 kids and ten adults were there and a good celebration was had by all. I married a special woman and in her 67 years she touched many lives. I didn’t get to bed until after midnight, a very long day for me.4 points

Mowed most of the lawn and was pleased the hard clay soil is holding up my temporary mailbox just fine without cement. Without my normal tools, I dug two holes with a small garden trowel and a rubber hammer about 7" deep, put the legs in them, put a board on top of the legs and hammered the legs down about 14" below ground, including a metal strip welded between them that had to go about 2" below ground. The front leg hit a rock or old root and I couldn't get it level - the front leg's about 1/2" higher than the back. That's ok, any rain that gets inside the slightly tilted mailbox can run out the holes on the back! My free year of USPS mail forwarding ended today. I got less than I paid for. I won't be taking my bike to any trails soon, there's still lots of yard work this week and I'm storing my and my BiL's stuff in my car. Got back to the apartment later than expected after visiting my brother and the sky wasn't close to sunset but it looked beautiful!3 points

OMG my first spin instructor was so hot, sexy voice, great body, cute face. Newly married and young enough to be my daughter. It did make the class more fun.3 points

When I first started spin classes 16 years ago I couldn’t believe how these women that didn’t appear to be in shape at all could make me look bad. I would be a literal sweat ball and they were happily spinning away cool as a cucumber. Then one day after class I walked around and put my hand on everyone’s flywheel. I burned my hand on mine and the gym owner’s flywheel, the ladies flywheels were like ice. They were faking it when instructed to turn the resistance up. I watched them reach down like they were turning up the resistance but they were pretending.3 points

Riding indoors is dangerous. Remember chopped liver? That’s why I didn’t ride my trainer while I was care giver for my wife. She may or may not have been able to use the phone to dial 911. Riding outdoors someone is more likely going to find your body sooner. Parr8 doesn’t have to worry about that, he has family in and out all the time.3 points

I keep telling people of the advantages of indoor riding. I understand that outdoors is more fun and exhilarating, but an indoor bike provides much more flexibility in when you ride, how long you ride and even how you ride. Plus no concerns about weather, traffic, darkness, getting run over by an inattentive motorist, or flat tires and other bike maintenance issues. Not to mention all those damned closed gates.3 points

She was working on a full size blanket for each of the twins when she died. I saw she was struggling with it and encourage her to finish it the size it is. She said no I want to add one more section or it won’t look right. She wasn’t able to finish it. I didn’t know what to do with it and my daughter in law said “I’ll finish it for you dad, Esther taught me how to crochet”. They are packing to drive back to Georgia right now. She finished the blanket this morning.3 points

12.5 on the MTB on gravel. Had some snow and rain the last couple days, but the roads weren’t awful. Low 50s and sunny but a cool wind.3 points
