  4. A better question would be "What would you do if you were invincible for one day". If you want to test the character of an individual, give them power.

  5. My first thought was it's from Petite. I recently shamed her into feeling guilty that she has sent each of you on the forum 6 gifts already and this would be my first. Petite is at home sucking morphine down from a straw so I eliminated her. Then Jsharr. 24 years I've known the bastard. Not 1 Christmas card or even a post in the Happy Birthday Cheese thread. Did Dorothy give him a new heart? Doubtful. My beloved Kirby? Normally yes, but she has already given me the best mug on the face of the earth. I drink my hot chocolate three times a day from that same mug for the last 8 years. Plus this mug has the fake Chris picture and Kirby knows better. RG? Who's kidding who? Aire?, maybe but a hunch tells me no. So I do not know who deserves my thanks. It will go nicely with my approximately 700 other Partridge Family collectibles but toward the back because of the fake Chris mistake.

  6. If you were invisible for a day, what would you do? This is today's middle school writing prompt question. I am really interested in how you would answer it. I would spend my day going from classroom to classroom to see what happens when I am not there. I know, as a fact, that when I walk in a room everyone puts on their best show. (Well except for those who don't know who I am.) True story, I stopped a staff person in the hall one time because I did not like something they were doing. She looked at me and said in a negative way--"Well, who do you think you are to tell me what to do?" I simply put out my hand (precovid), shook hers and said, "Hi, I am Doctor Sheffer and I am the superintendent. I am your boss's boss's boss's boss." Look on her face was priceless. Now If I could see , when invisible, if people were doing great stuff I would give them a spontaneous award of $100.

  7. This reminds me of something that happened where I used to work. One day I was walking through the factory with the big guy.....we turned the corner and there were a few guys screwing off. Stuart said something to them and one of the guys said well who the fuck are you......I laughed and said......his name is on the side of the building and his signature is on your paycheck. The look was priceless and they got back to work without saying a word.

  12. Contractor finally got us on the schedule and began the work. The cabinets and countertop were made in their shop. The doors are made by someone else and coming later this week. Locks for the file cabinets, very small drawer boxes for the server and 3d printer cabinets so they can be easily pulled out, the ventilation fans need to be wired to the exhaust ducts. Overall very happy with the look.

  17. Let me go get a picture before I mix it up and add bacon and put it in the oven... The red stuff is three Fresno peppers diced, btw. I really didn't use all that much green pepper, it just looks that way until I mix it in. I will use no mayonnaise or candy corn in this dish, you see.

  23. I have been making them dinner nightly & we bring it by. Since CJ doesn’t know any better yet I spend my time there spoiling Smokey with love. Whenever someone else is holding the baby my daughter also gives him lots of love. But Smokey really is handling the change well.

  27. I'm using a 3d printed version of this: Using Noctua 120mm fans and arduino controller that in the server cabinet checks ambient temps and adjusts cooling. Since I switched to thin client, micro PCs instead of my power hogs r720s tis will be more than sufficient. The 3d printer booth has the same but uses a custom script in the Octo-Pi controller that ramps up exhaust based on air quality using a Adafruit PMSA003I. Only runs when printer is active and also has a temperature sensor to make sure the fans don't go too crazy changing the temps. Too much of a swing and the material can become brittle or delaminate in areas as it cools too fast. I

  38. Assateague State Park may be the best in Maryland, but it's not accessible to most people. In the first place you need a boat ride to get there, In the second place the wild ponies are seldom visible on Chincoteague Island except during the Pony Roundup one day each year. I've only seen Assateague and Chincoteague Islands from the mainland: there's nothing unusually special besides the Atlantic Ocean shores and the ponies. Meanwhile, there's a Cypress Park on the nature-reserved Pocomoke River, just north of Assateague and south of Ocean City on the mainland with campsites radiating out from a circular roads with bathhouses in the middle, canoe rentals, and nature trails that I like a lot more. On the Western Shore, west of Baltimore, north of Annapolis and D.C., and most accessible to the most people for a day-trip, Patapsco Valley State Park is the big favorite with its swinging bridge, nature trails, picnic areas, kids' play areas with swings, tunnels, etc. There are isolated sections of the park where you can hike along the banks of the river or along barren areas with beautiful stones where most of the world's chrome as well as other minerals were once mined.
