You know the difference between erotic and kinky, don't you? Erotic is when you use a feather. Kinky involves the whole chicken...6 points

Like 94F at 6 at night which is unusual for here. In my world that means 3 of the last 4 days have been dealing with drownings. I am home now, and had a beer with appetizer and now had wine with supper. I think I need to drink more or go to bed. I am hoping the phone does not ring all weekend5 points

Just got back from 10 days of action packed adventures. We are dragging the dirty trailer home to our owned camp site. I have now lived in the camper well over a month. I expect another month until the house is a normal home.5 points

I was in a 45 minute meeting with our network engineering team going over ports, IP’s and patch panels for my ACS & video. I swear I felt like I was back in college calculus… The really hard part is I understand every 3rd word they say. I have a very limited understanding of our whole network infrastructure but I can’t freaking understand them. Two of the guys are middle eastern, the other two are Asian and their accents are so thick I’m just freaking lost. After a 5 minute dialogue: Ah Chris are you good with that? I’m all….5 points

I don’t understand why you can’t comprehend @Square Wheels wishes here. He’s been crystal clear and consistent over the years, and has even created subforum space to cater to this request to post TDF related stuff.4 points

Many people record the TdF, and other races, and watch later, maybe days later. Don't ruin it for others by revealing details, even if you feel it should be known by everyone already. Thank you3 points

My 20 year-old nephew Ryan, the one whose few-month-old baby boy died a few years back, has been working for Amazon on the loading dock and has been looking for something better and airline steward interested him. So he did a 4-day training course in S. Carolina and then applied to Mesa Airlines, who staffs American and United Airlines. He's just been accepted for a tryout by Mesa in Phoenix, AR, beginning either 7/7 or 7/20 for 3-4 weeks. He'll be trained and has to take tests and get 85% or better on them as he progresses. He should do well and he's very excited about it. He's a 6', broad shouldered guy who won the J.J. Watt Award on his football team, and I'm hoping they'll like him especially due to all the airline violence lately.3 points

I went to a Catholic elementary (Grades 1-8) school in the 50's and 60's which normally wouldn't offer foreign language. But we had a nun from Quebec, Sister Dolorice, who taught the 8th graders French - and with the standard Tour Valley accent, not Quebecois. So when I got to high school, I ignored the urgings of my friends to take Spanish, used in more parts of the world than French, and took French because I already had a head-start. I had wanted to be a chemist since the age of 12, and when I got to college I was surprised to learn that Certified American Chemists had to pass a fluency test - or complete the 2nd college year - in a foreign language. That was so America would have a pool of chemists who could read important foreign chemistry journals. BUT, the foreign language had to be German or Russian or .... French! French 201 and 202 and I was good! So thank you, Sister Dolorice, for speaking French!3 points

I had a teacher in 11th grade. It was an English class. She was old, like 190. She was from Germany. I am sure she had a story but she was too mean to share it. She gave me a D once. Wrote that it did not matter whether I had the best ideas in class. No one would take me seriously with poor editing. Only D I ever got. Pissed me off so much but she was right. I cannot remember her name. We called her Miss Wacko. I clearly remember the message that proof reading and editing are important.3 points

I learned to question teachers. I learned they were just people with opinions, like everyone else. I learned there were good and bad people in the teaching profession. I learned not to take everything people say at face value. Beyond that, no. I had no moments you could make a Hallmark movie about and no "Ah-ha" moments.3 points

To quote the Swedish Chef, “vert der ferk” First time I’ve heard this theory. The fracking locations in VA are in the far SW corner, bordering KY and WV. The August 23, 2011 earthquake (5.8 Richter) was centered in Mineral, Louisa County. Roughly 280 miles distance between the two. Smithsonian Magazine published an article theorizing the cause but fracking wasn’t one. https://www.dmme.virginia.gov/DGO/HydraulicFracturing.shtml https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/what-caused-dc-earthquake-2011-180959019/3 points

Is Dragon's Milk reserve 2, for 2021. It's been a while since I had a Dragon's Milk, but in comparison to the standard issue, this one seems less "bitey", perhaps form the vanilla which is noticeable. But has an ass kick level of 12.3% ABV IIRC the regular DM is 11.5%. Anywho, for no reason I felt like treating myself Good sipping beer at the cafe while it rains. I recommend it. Cheers.3 points

My old fence around 3 of the 4 sides of my yard is completely gone. New fence supposedly by Wednesday. My good friend Ron who lives a couple doors away asked, "Can I have one of the long pieces from the top?" of the chain-link fence. He wants to make a gate. The workers said the stuff was being thrown away so one of them helped me carry a 20+ ft. piece over to Ron's yard. He was happy. My backyard neighbor Denise let her dog out to pee and I had to call her and tell her she and I have no fence - I'm paying to replace the fence between our yards, she's had some financial struggles while helping sick relatives. She's wasn't happy, but she can't complain about getting a free new fence and I even threw in a gate for her between the fence and her garage.3 points

Prophet the children were beaten in school, parents not allowed to visit, etc. The children were taken away from the parents for so-called education, etc. They were often not fed well, some of the parents weren't certain what happened to their children, etc. I think the grave markers were removed..to hide history and the Catholic church hoping people will forget over time. Kinda stupid, ...this is in our late boomer generation and older. The Saskatchewan school closded in approx. 1996. My employer, is a large muncipality and does all sorts of employee profiles weekly. (I got one 8 months ago.) So last week, a senior transportation engineer with 15 yrs. in our organization so far, she was profiled. She is First Nations from Manitoba..and she knew people who lost their children at a residential school in Manitoba. Of course, other employees get to comment on your profile. So another employee in a different dept., who I knew because of our similar jobs, her grandmother went to a residential school. This employee has never indicated before she had First Nations roots. History is so close to us. It really is. The dark past is not far away.2 points
