DoSmudge1 is there now and called to get out some frustrations about the in-laws. You know the Geico commercial about parking at the game? That's her in-laws, just for starters. DoSmudge1 is used to adventures with her mom, so this situation is kinda difficult for her. Anyway, we were talking and I decided heck ya! I'm 57 and have hardly traveled. I'll be saving my pennies so we can have a fun few days in Florida in the middle of next winter. They are in Naples this year, Anna Maria island last year. She really liked the island cuz it is cute. I'll let her pick where we go. I'm hoping this will be a mom and daughter thing. We'll need to talk more about it obviously. 😊

Just because. I’ve spent the better part of this week getting in touch with my doctors. This has been loads of fun! 😉But slowly successful. Talked with my PCP, who is concerned, and is working me in Monday. Success. Yesterday, took a load of vitamin M. Today, I did so again. So I’m in a better place pain wise. Took a short stroll today. Mostly successful with the exception of a sudden balance/list that cause me to veer way off the sidewalk. But the cane kept me from toppling. Success. Had a long conversation with my dental office around lunchtime. It was challenging and I needed a break. So I squatted down in our parking lot and leaned against the building. The sun felt good. 15 - 20 minutes later, I was stuck. I couldn’t stand. Just me out there. I was like, “OK bud, that was stupid”, as I contemplated calling someone to assist me.(embarrassing, last resort) Herculean effort, intense pain and falling into the wall to push upward and I made it! Another success!!! 🥳 Came home, feeling good that My spirits are up. Say in my chair, had a pipe. Got up to put stuff away. Turned, collapsed backwards. But caught the chair on the way down. So my fall did not hurt, didn’t bust my head or anything. Struggled to get up, but I did! Mrs Z did not have to help me. Another success! Ordered a book today. Sitting here a few minutes ago, Mrs Z comes over with a package, “what did you order?” I replied, “the book I told you about. No way that got here today.” Opened it. And.... The Sunshine committee struck again. 😊 Awwwww! I gotta know, who is on the committee? Who can I thank?? Great timing! This is what I looked like trying to get up. 😝 Sloth and I, we got this! Seriously, thank you. Peace and grace, this day.

Just hanging out in my lovely little home. Playing house and cooking away for tonight's faux Thanksgiving. My kitchen window looks out into the most beautiful view of mountains and scenery. Little quail were qauiling around the front of the property. Then, I see a kestrel flying around like an F15, then a second smaller one. I start yelling..."KESTRELS!" Trail boss ran into the kitchen. It's a short run of about five steps. We both just watched them swoooping and finally came to a stop on the beautiful telephone pole at the front of the property. We love Xanadu so much.

Made one fall on a wheelchair ramp at somebodies house I was driving by today. I was on my way to meet someone but made a point to return the same way and see if they needed someone to cut up that tree. I think the ramp was ok but the railing was smashed. When I came back two men were there cutting up the tree.

Go. When my Dad was healthier they spent 6-10 weeks there every winter. We’d often go visit. Many great memories.

But not at the same time. The bean setting is 30 minutes. The rice setting is 12. Perfect every time. Even brown rice and black beans. Yum!

Somewhere in my basement is a lamp very similar to this one. My lamp would need a new lamp shade. A guy at work would use old junk electric meters for the lamps. The meter would still work.

I had a Guito’s chicken salad at a restaurant on Thursday and it was good. I figured I could do that but I added cranberries, walnuts, black olives, and broccoli. It was very good.

We had our anniversary dinner tonight. It was takeout from a local pub. The anniversary isn't till Thursday but womaxx is having MOHS surgery Wednesday and may not feel like eating then. I had bangers and mash and there was so much of it that I'll be eating the same thing tomorrow. Womaxx had a nice salad with steak on top We couldn't get anything from J Gilberts in Glastonbury as they were sold out 5 min after opening. Our pub was standing room only when we picked up the food. The local theater was crowded. Business is booming.

Thursday night on my way home from work I spotted two bald eagles about a mile from home. This morning there was a fawn that died near one of the gardens so I dragged it out into the meadow. Crows have already found it so if the eagles are still around, it won't be long before we see them.

My parents had an old mantle clock that had the most beautiful bell tone. It only chimed once on the hour so it was not intrusive and like Aire says, it was quite a comfort to hear.
