I have an appointment for some more eye surgery at 8:45. It will consist of somewhere between 80 and 100 laser shots into the right eye, drilling very tiny holes on the outer edge of the pupil. These are microscopic drain holes to vent some of the pressure in the eye causes by glaucoma. I've had this done in both eyes before and if successful it lasts for a few years before the pressures begin to rise again. I know I won't want to use the eye a lot after the appointment but I don't remember how long the irritation lasts. In addition to the holes, the eye is also irritated by having the collimator lens glued to the eye with some gel.

I arrived at Nancy’s house at 1:00 pm. It was raining so we didn’t go anywhere. I met her Spanish foreign exchange student, she is a real sweetheart. We ate her Irish stew and biscuits it was very good. Then the three of us played flip uno. That girl is a hoot, Nancy is really going to miss her when she goes back to Spain. We had Ice cream and then the girl went up to her room to call her mom and dad and we went in and sat on the couch and snuggled. We lost track of time, I just got home. Driving the interstate in the middle of the night on Saturday is nice, no traffic. It would have been better if it wasn’t raining. Nancy and I feel the same way about each other. YES Good night all I’m tired.

Per a sponsor's request, the outlaw Josie Wales has received a facelift more responsive to the sponsor's facility. Along with that it has also received some additional bits and pieces to get it down the track. Now that the other two cars are ready to race I have to spend some time testing this one. I'll be taking two to the season opener, probably the two that are race ready right now. This one will test with a small block motor till I get the handling just right. Then the big block will go in for some serious speed.

We are going to have lobster ravioli with an Alfredo sauce, salad and garlic bread. The car show/flea market had food trucks. Found one with jerk chicken fries. A guy ahead of me wanted the “spicy” chicken. It had not even been mentioned on the menu, but there was a “nudge/wink” going on. Apparently their POS system was having issues so the guy at the pickup window was double-checking orders. He asked my order and I told him the jerk chicken fries…and can I get them spicy. The look on his face when a borderline senior citizen with a Nebraska T-shirt asked for spicy! Are you sure you want spicy? Yep! Ok…. About that time the lady who ordered before me overheard the conversation. I only mention she was black because her southern/urban dialect just added to the conversation. Wait….what’s this talk about spicy? Why doesn’t the menu say we can get spicy? I would like mine spicy too! The guy didn’t even argue or question her. We got our orders and tables were full so WoW and I found some curb under a tree. As we were eating the lady walks over and said “I’m sure glad we found out about the spicy! I would have been disappointed in the mild!” She was right! It was sinus clearing hot, but the flavor added made it worthwhile!

Anyway at least 3 that I saw...maybe more..deer..ran from the property behind us and up a hill...across the pond...at a pretty good pace..

A pressure washer. And why did I wait until 2022 to get one. I mostly bought it to blast the road salt off the snomo trailer rather than take it all the way into town to the do it yourself car wash... But then.... I washed three snowmobiles, then the truck, the blue car, the motorcycle, the little mower, the lawn tractor, the siding on the shaded side of the garage, and then part of the driveway. For measurement purposes, the wheelie bar wheels are just over a foot behind the rear axle. I've never measured the overall but it looks to be about 3 feet. The race class has a minimum weight of 2060 grams (4 1/2 lbs). This car is about 200 grams heavy. The rear tires are about 4 3/4 inches in diameter for another size check. The car is about 11" wide at it's widest.

On the motorcycle I got 8th but we are not going to talk about the clutch issues and me screwing up in a turn and seeing how ruff the rumble strips are. In sidecar we got second. Wo46 did her perfect and did not miss a single mark. Me on the other hand made a few minor mistakes. Our lap times were down a few seconds from yesterday but on the back straight the head wind was brutal. Now it cow time
