  1. To do GOBA. Nancy is going to still be in Spain that week so why not? It’s been a long time since I did a seven day ride. I hope I can find healthy food along the way.

  9. I like to keep 2 in my seatpack, 2 in the tandem seatpack, 1 in my wife’s, and 10 in a sealed plastic bag. That way I’m always ready. All the same size, all pork. I worry about running out of ribs.

  15. Once again, I chose wrong. I thought it must be either WINCE or HINGE, but WINCE seemed like the less obvious solution, so I went with that. And sure enough, I guessed wrong again.

  17. I noticed this yesterday on my rear gatorskin after 5600 miles. The front taar still has the dimples. I used to rotate them to get even where but haven't on these. I got 7000 miles on the hardshell gatorskins before these. So I ordered a pair of regular gatorskins from Competitive Cyclist for $100, which is 33% off. This time I bought 28s. I've only rode with 25s, or way back in the day, 20s. I'll try the taar jack I bought to get them on.

  22. Usually, BJ's shelves are stocked high with double jar packages (96 oz) of JIF Peanut Butter. But today, the shelves were empty. Skippy was in it's place. I bought the Skippy, but I don't think it is as good as JIF. The salmonella in JIF must add some additional flavoring that Skippy just doesn't have.

  26. I think I agree with Jerry. The robber is armed with a hammer and I'm afraid that if he gets up we are going to get hurt or killed. IMO the hammer is a lethal weapon. Now if he gets out and runs I would consider it illegal to chase and kill.

  28. Just watch. You’ll lose ten pounds, feel more energy, ride faster, hit some wet leaves on a turn, go down hard, lay in the hospital for a week, get the faint satisfaction of a few last words, and then close your eyes for the sleep without dreams. Ah, I love it when a plan comes together.

  29. This is a pretty inefficient way to kill someone. It may even have the opposite effect. She needs to come to the forum for some better methods she might employ to kill you. I am sure we can help her immensely.

  35. Found a bone-in pork shoulder (5.7 lbs) on sale for $0.99/lb. Treated that with some homemade dry rub and built a charcoal faar and cut some hickory into chunks. Made a sop with vinegar, water, dry rub, and chile peppers. Mopped with sop at one hour. Three hours to go.

  36. I worked outside during the day until after 2 pm and decided I'd have an early Sunday Dinner instead of lunch, so I ate the last half of a General Tso's Combo. That was the day's first dinner. My BiL phoned me and said he needed to shop at Costco - my sister doesn't return from Phoenix until tomorrow. He is still feeling a little claustrophobic when he drives - he's in a slightly restricted position when he's behind the wheel and still limited in how much he can inhale after his lung lobe was removed 2 months ago. So we went to Costco in my car and there, hiding in the cool back room where they keep the veggies, were two pound containers of Rainier cherries - my absolute favorite fruit! So I brought them home. Around 7:30 pm I was a little hungry and decided I needed a Late Supper. Then I thought about the cherries and when I went to pull the container out of the fridge, I mistakenly grabbed a container of cheese Danish I forgot I had bought a few days ago. So I had a couple dozen Rainier cherries - nice and firm and sweet but not too sweet. That set up my palate perfectly for that sweet slice of cheese Danish - which had a decent amount of cheesecake and was nice and fresh. It tasted so perfect after my tongue had been prepared by the cherries! I washed it down with 20 oz. of Diet Peach Snapple Tea - once again agreeing perfectly with the other tastes. Best dinner in a long time - and look at how much more I have!
