  7. It's cheatin, but it's quick and so tasty Reser's mac an cheese, chop up some peppers and onions and shrimp, sauté the shrimp and veggies, microwave the mac & cheese and mix. Some of the pepper can be hot, or you can add heat at the end, or hell you can add honey, you're the cook. But it's quick and good.

  14. I’ve been up there many times but Judie wanted a get a way weekend during the middle of the week for her birthday. We love our dog but he is an attention whore. We have a nice all inclusive package and a great room. I’m guessing we will spend a lot of time in our room.

  15. See the Horseshoe falls but go to Niagara on the Lake. Much nicer. Wrong time of year for a pretty drive other than the town of Niagara Falls in the rear view mirror.

  18. No, not me, but when Wild Sister and I were at the Mall yesterday we saw the photo set up with a large Easter Bunny sitting there. It was a little creepy when he was just sitting there but later we saw a bunch of people who appeared to be from a nearby Assisted Living Facility. There were about 5 people, mostly in wheel chairs, there with some aides from the home. The people were dressed for the event, with some wearing bunny ears or other seasonal attire. Everyone was laughing and having a good time, getting ready for their pictures with the Easter Bunny. It didn't seem creepy then, and I'm still smiling today when I think about it. Also, on a related note, I can't wait to see @petitepedal's traditional Easter Bunny post!

  29. I think I may go back to bed again. Womaxx started this a day before me. Youngest son is starting now. My dishwasher died just in time for easter. The repair tech is coming sometime tomorrow. On the good news side, the IRS just released my taxes that were on hold. It appeared in the bank yesterday.

  31. I just thought of this, but car detailers use dental floss to saw through the adhesive holding badges to the paintwork of cars. I wonder if this would work here? Or maybe a thin metal wire and some gloves to protect your hands.

  32. Update time. The little metal saw I bought for $12 was too namby-pamby and didn't saw for crap, unless you count the paint on the aluminum, it took the paint off a little. To be fair, the angles were weird, though, and it might have worked if I could have used the saw in an unobstructed manner. So anyway, I saw the building super just now, and grabbed him to ask what he would do. He walked over to it and just yanked it and a goodly chunk of the particle board clean off, which I was trying to avoid. I suppose now I will get some wood glue and try to make it as right as I can. At least it is off, though, and I also own a small metal saw that I will probably never need again.

  35. Wow. I lost maybe 20. Was in the 240s, now in the 220s and striving to get to the 210s. I am on Ozempic. Was on Ozempic and then Trulicity and then due to scarcity had to move to Rybelsus, which did not work for me. Back on Ozempic and seeing weight and glucose drop again. I have to learn to control cravings for bad stuff. I see weight loss and glucose improvement and I get lazy and eat some crap. I may try hypnosis to cure my lazy ass. BTW, is a diabetics thread that some of us have been posting in. Were you on anything befor Mounjaro? How is your A1C? May talk to my doc about Mounjaro is you and Mick and the others here on it see better results.

  36. I know there is a dip what uses a block of cream cheese and some spicy jelly topping and of course I smear cream cheese on bagels whenever I am offered a bagel and there are big tubs of flavored cream cheeses there. A bagel with a fried egg, some bacon and some cream cheese with herbs in it is pretty darn good if you like bagels with egg, bacon and cream cheese.
