Great advice. It was weird, serendipity. I could not recognize her. Then we both figured it out. She is my GF's neighbor. She is legit. Her company bought this place to rent to employees. It's a common practice here. Have employee housing available. She doesn't have an employee in need of housing at the moment. She needs to rent it to offset the cost. That is why the lease is not long term. I could be asked to move with 60 days of notice. It's a million dollar condo, but not a forever home. I am kicking the can. I would be on the top floor. Four windows on the right. Private deck. Interior view.5 points

…going on 64, yes. She had her say and wrote “jack” on the tape with a Sharpie. Still not as good as when I switched the caps on the dry erase markers. She stood there for what seemed like a solid five minutes with her brain glitching as she looked from the whiteboard to the marker and back again, trying to figure out why the “red” marker was writing blue…4 points

Probably. And I'm sure the cat is sound asleep, so keep the noise down.4 points

Happy anniversary! What a measure of security in your relationship that there’s enough joy in each other’s company without having to do it up big. And how cool is that…your preference to use her coupon, which she wants to use, over some external expectation for an anniversary dinner. Those are always my favorite ways to celebrate.4 points

To be honest...I would tell you what I tell my residents about the garbage/recycle dilemma...WHEN IN DOUBT...THROW IT OUT. I don't eat as much old food as legend tells it...unfortunately I have a lot of food waste4 points

on this glass cleaner. The old label was exactly the same shade of blue as painter’s tape - which meant that “someone” could put a judiciously placed square of painter’s tape over the first two letters of “glass” and it would take months for the unsuspecting victim to notice. (At which time a hearty laugh was enjoyed by “someone”, despite being referred to as a sphincter by said victim).3 points

Looks like you are well set with an herbal and a decaf tea, and a rooibos. Good base to explore non-caffeine tea.3 points

I wasn't so lucky. Kitty liked to sit under car engines when it was cold. She often had grease and oil on her. Washing a cat with claws is quite an adventure. I'd wrap her up in a towel and wash part of her at a time.3 points

17.1 miles on the road bike. Averaged 16.5 mph which for this old guy was fast. I was also nearly as fast yesterday. The weather was great both days; however, I just started a new blood pressure medication. I wonder if that is helping. My BP is about 10 less the last few days.3 points

Housing related. I am still playing the housing game. I have six days to vacate. Still no lease on my next residence. I have options. #1 I gave them $350 to reserve the apt. It is 450 Sq ft. No storage. Four bikes in my bedroom. 45 page lease that I have to read and sign. I had an appointment tomorrow to see the place and get the lease. The manager missed/forgot our meeting on Tue. I was not happy. #2 Random meeting. A person overheard me saying I was moving. She said call me. I did. She showed me the apt. It is amazing! Cheaper than #1 by $100/month. It is 2br/2bath with storage. Very Fancy. 6 month lease that will go to month to month. I will have to move again with a 60 day notice. It buys me time. #3 Shitty basement apt. No egress windows so probably not legal. It's cheaper by $750/month.2 points

Do research on #2. I am a firm believer if something is too good to be true, it probably is. BUT if you got a good read on them, and you trust what you saw, do #2 but keep looking2 points

They did a software upgrade on LF. It included the ability to add a topic or something like that to a post. I don't think you could search on the topic but you could list them. I started adding 'boogers' as the topic to all my posts. 'Boogers' far out numbered all the other topics discussed by a long margin. Like, 'boogers' was somewhere north of 1500 and the next most discussed topic was at 4. Is there a way similar to that to skew the statistics?2 points

We travel a lot with our racing and the racing trip usually includes stops along the way for other adventures. A weekend of racing averages 2 weeks on the road We never really made a big deal about birthdays or anniversaries. Wo46 enjoys a hike in the Dells followed up with a pizza and a beer over a fancy dinner. Not saying that she doesn't enjoy it but given a choice she will go for a hike.2 points

Happy Anniversary! That entire album is great. A line I remember from Michael Perry's book Truck: A Love Story-I knew it was a special date, because I had a coupon for the Pizza Hut.2 points
