  1. Yup. Not fun. 99% blockage of LAD. Went by ambulance to Marquette hospital straight to Cath Lab. Went through the wrist instead of the groin. I hear that's a much better way to do it. Rest of my heart looks good. Just that one blockage. So ya, I'll be here til Wednesday.

  3. Been with this company in various forms since 2009. Just got called in to discuss pay and other compensation. Walked out with the biggest single pay raise I have ever received in my life. Shocked to say the least. Completely unexpected and greatly appreciated.

  4. G man turns 16 today. Hard for me to really grasp that he's that old. We had been working on the Toyota pickup. It was running and driving really well. But then an oil leak, and a coolant leak. Just too much stuff to track down. He loves the Jeep XJ's. So Thursday he said we should sell the Yota and get an XJ. Well the Yota sold in 8 hours. And for more than I thought it would. We found him the perfect XJ. He doesn't even know yet. We're giving it to him tonight.

  6. Picked her up this afternoon. She was a bit stressed on the car ride home. Took a 2 hour nap on the porch. Then we got out in the grass to play. Then dinner. Breeder said a full cup. That is what our full grown Golden's got. So I was sceptical. I put down 3/4 cup and she ate it right down. I'll let you know how 2:00 am potty is.

  8. She hasn’t wanted to eat for two weeks. I made some chicken noodle soup for her last week because it’s one of her favorites. I got her to eat three spoonfuls and she said she didn’t want anymore. I just threw out the rest of it today. One day I got her to eat four spoonfuls of oatmeal with blueberries and honey. Most days she won’t eat anything at all. Today I made some banana pudding and drizzled Hershey syrup on it. I got her to eat what I brought her, probably a dozen bites.

  10. You all know that WoScrapr passed almost a year ago. Our boy (he's 24) texts me tonight out of the blue & says do you have dreams about Mom? I reply funny you should ask. Last night she touched my arm when I was sleeping. She startled me & I woke up. I think if I had not woke up we might have hugged. So young Scrapr says she came to me last night & hugged me & sang to me. I think young Scrapr was a bit freaked out about it. But he said the hug was really good Both on the same night. We are checking with other good friends to see if she came to them. I had only 1 othe

You have taken such great care of me. I want to buy you lunch. There is this local place that has great food. I want to buy you their spicy cheeseburger. " Then she goes on to explain how it is prepared and how she wants to buy it for him. She says her friend is coming to visit and will pick up the lunch and bring it to him, cause he has helped her so much in the hospital. My husband tried to tell her no and then s

  14. “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.” Where there is death there is also life. Where there is heartache, there is also joy. This is the great dichotomy of life. This week, I welcomed my fourth grandchild into the world: And this one is my namesake. 😊 My heart is truly overwhelmed. And though life takes from us, it also gives. And I am truly blessed with my children and the beauty they’ve created in this world. Peace

  18. Found this project on the interweb and decided to make it. HoSmudge helped me a bit with the cutting; he held the board while I used the chop saw. He also neatened up the pieces when he noticed the chop saw was set at 1° rather than at 0°. Other than that, it was all smudge. P.S. Glued wood pieces are slippery and tricky to screw down!

  20. LMAO! Mr. Hip was out there doing fence work today. The Foreman was shocked at how much he got done today. He has also seen him work driving the backhoe, and other assorted construction things that was specified as owner responsibility. The Foreman said " WOW! You got all that barbed wire out already? If you ever want a job..." My husband just laughed and replied "Not bad for a nurse, eh?"

  26. Yesterday she was pretty good. This morning she was kind of out of it as we were giving her bath. Just as Jocelyn was starting down the steps to leave my wife started to gag. Jocelyn stopped and came back upstairs and asked her if she was ok. She said go ahead and go, I’ll be ok. She is not ok. She hasn’t wanted a thing to eat since I gave her breakfast at 8am. We have been looking forward To having the grandkids over tomorrow. I haven’t called it off yet. If Esther is as bad tomorrow as she is today it won’t be much fun for anyone. I watched the youtubes but there is a reason that I am not a finish carpenter. My buddy that lives a street over was telling me about the new guy that just moved in. He's super cool, he's a carpenter and he just got laid off due to Covid bullshit. He was looking for side jobs. Gave him a call. He made quick work of the molding on my new cabinets. He even adjusted the hinges. He is also coming back tonight to put some matching molding up on our ex

  28. So this happened on Friday. I was informed on Friday that I have been nominated and accepted to receive The BSA Silver Beaver. Was not expecting this at all and was floored by the phone call from an old friend to let me know of the honor. The Silver Beaver Award is the council-level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America. Upon nomination by their local Scout council and with the approval of the National Court of Honor, recipients of this award are registered adult leaders who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the council.[1]

She's been feeling better since she started dialysis but she is having a hard time getting in and out of her chair so on a last minute decision I bought her a new recliner. I was driving past the little mom and pop furniture store in town and bought her a new power lift recliner. Wo46 and I delivered it to her this afternoon and she started tearing up.

  37. On Monday. I’ve been here for three years and like it here and the people are nice. The reason I’m quitting is that the CFO is being a pain in the ass. We met in late January and he said that the CEO wants to upgrade the talent in my position. It was up to me to come up with a plan to “upgrade the talent” Over the weekend. I found an online graduate certificate in risk management through Boston University. I used that to buy time to find another job. Last Wednesday I had a phone interview and in person on Friday. They offered the job Friday afternoon. I start the 23rd. Everyone but the CFO is

I thank you all for your well wishes and laughter inducing posts during what has been a crazy week. Tomorrow I will shower and go back to my office I hope. Letting the hot water heater play catch up tonight. That and I have a 7 pm Scout call, during which call my coffee mug may contain rum, but I will still pretend to blow on it like it was full of hot coffee.

  40. Whee! We rode for 30 minutes on the river trail where there aren't any stoplights. He weighs about 230 pounds, which is quite a heft to keep balanced when the bike is barely moving. It was scary to get started, but then I told him that he would have to start pedaling so that the bike would move and then I'd be able to balance and pedal, too. He did great! I also told him to step down at the same time as I do so that we can stop without tipping over and then counted down "one, two, three, step." He seemed to like that he was very helpful in keeping us upright and moving steady. And we both pre

I still can't believe the amount of riding I've done, and yet its all true. And (knock on wood) I feel great, and back to my old form IMO. Just wanted share.
