As my University years were winding up, a good friend of mine and I were looking at doing and planning for the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine, but he had to leave right away and with sickness in my family, the trip was scrapped. I have often thought about it and honestly dont think I have it in me anymore. We have often talked about me celebrating retirement with a 30 or 60 day canoe trip across the Arctic barrens, but with intense mosquito plagues there, my wife has told me she will meet me at the end. She is my fav bow paddler and I really dont want a trip without her. This however..., is certainly doable. I have some research to do.
