  1. We could hijack a garden forum.
  2. I've climbed Huntington Ravine and Odells gully on Mt. Washington. My cousin lost both his legs climbing there. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugh_Herr
  3. I have had worse injuries on the MTB than climbing. You can have so much fun with sharp points.
  4. Those roll up sleds make nice fenders. I have also made a lot of fenders out of bleach jugs.
  5. Now I have to make something like that for my ice climbing. Skis and climbing gear to travel down the beach along Lake Superior. DH, While I am making it do I need to make 2 of them?
  6. The only Helga my cousin has in his shop sure doesn't look like yours. I showed him the picture and he said . "Sweet bike" That came from someone who has over 20 Salsa and Specialized fat bikes in his shop.
  7. I do agree that bar mitts are kinda a pain on drops. But when you are riding across a lake on the ice when it is 0 and windy they still are better than going without. The ride I did often last winter on the fargo was 6 miles each way over the lake I wouldn't have wanted to do it with out the studded tires and bar mitts. That is a nice looking bike. Did you keep the Bluto that you had on the fatboy? I didn't know the Helga came with a bluto
  8. Aren't you afraid someone will steal the wheels? They aren't locked. It's not cold enough for bar mitts yet. Mine are here on the desk next to me. Where is the snow and ice? You have studded tires.
  9. Inge and Gracie are both GOOD dogs. (I saw it on facebook so it is true) I hope they bite him.
  10. I liked RFW. She was funny. I hope she stays with us crazies. We can make it even bigger by posting a lot of pRon before the move.
  11. Didn't RFW tell you that if you just give us the IP address we won't have to wait for the DNS servers to update?
  12. So I am not the only AMA member here? You wouldn't believe the number of emails I got yesterday about this. AMA, AOPA, EAA etc Well, maybe you would. I'm not sure this will really solve any problems but it could have been worse for those of us who fly for a hobby.
  13. I joked about getting the new shoes for the fat bike but we aren't really spending much. Our daughter has really wanted a hammered dulcimer and I found a used one that needed a little TLC to get it back to like new condition. I've done the repair and it is ready for final tuning to have it ready for Christmas. It did cost me a little more than we normally spend so at her birthday party 2 weeks ago she was told she had to wait for her gift till Christmas. (anyway it still wasn't finished at that time) Rather than spending money at Christmas I am more into getting something as a gift when I see something that I know would mean a lot for someone. (No, Airehead, I am not getting you an airedale puppy. That is so personal that you need to find your own) We are saving money since I will be going to Puerto Rico at the end of January or early February. Our ham radio club has a station that is on a property that has been sold. We need to remove the equipment. I may also be going to the DR at the end of February and definitely will be late April and May. I'm pretty sure Wilbur doesn't fly for Delta so he won't be our pilot.
  14. These are in so much demand right now that I couldn't get them from my cousin. He has already sold all his allotment from QBP. I found them available in California so I ordered them. It must help that Southern CA doesn't get much snow.
  15. They are fun. You will end up riding where you can't on another bike. If you aren't much of a mountain biker they have so much grip that they give you confidence that you don't have on a regular MTB. Rent or borrow one and give it a try before you buy. If you find that it isn't for you why waste the money. Surly has just dropped the price of their pugsly and moonlander. There are some good buys available right now.

  17. Got some new light weight racing shoes for the Mukluk. The Big Brown Truck just left them here in time for Christmas. Kenda Juggernut Pro 4.0 weighed them. one was 860 grams the other 840. Big weight savings over the Surly Nate 120 tpi tires I am running now. (1311 grams) 922 grams weight savings. Just over 2 lbs for those of you who need it converted for you. These are tubeless ready and from what my cousin told me they are much easier to mount tubeless than the Surly Nates. From looking at the small tread I'm thinking they may not have the traction that the Nates do but should be nice on firm surfaces. Will have to see how they hold up.
  18. From her post it sounded like she needs a nap. If anything important comes up I'm sure the old folks will wake her.
  19. To help you sleep better I will give you some steam train sounds. You can thank me later.
  20. You were discriminated against because you are Canadian. You should sue.
  21. Maybe if you would feed it some krispie kream donuts you could fatten it up.
