  5. He wasn't hurt. The way I found out was when I got a call from the air force base in Florida 6 weeks later asking me about an ELT activation. He registered the plane in his name but never the ELT. I found his phone number and called him. Had him call them. Lost most of my faith in ELT use. By the time they called me the battery was long dead. and the plane was in Saganaw, MI instead of Coldwater. I guess he didn't know how to really dance on a taildraggers rudder pedals. He was grandfathered in on traildraggers but hadn't flown one for many years and didn't get insurance or a checkout in it. With the big tundra tires it was a handful on pavement. Fun to fly off grass and dirt.
  6. I sold it and the guy who bought it ground looped it and ripped on the right gear and wing on his first flight with it. Doesn't look like this any more.
  7. Does Canada and Mexico count? Also Many of the US states.
  8. For those of you who may be interested in the sheep that @sheep_herder and we raise these two links show the breeds we are talking about. I am very familiar with Katahdin sheep since Heifer international had a large flock of them a few miles from us. If I remember correct some of @sheep_herder's flock came from them. Katahdin sheep are a hair sheep and don't grow wool. Lincoln sheep Shetland sheep Katahdin sheep
  9. This 18 x 20 inch seat cushion was my wife's first project on the peg loom. It was made from poor Shetland wool from sheep we Sheared at several reenactments. Due to shearing twice a year the fiber was too short. IT was woven from raw fleece in the grease then washed. You can see some of the short loose fiber but still it made a nice soft cushion about an inch thick. It has been holding up well on her chair at the reenactments. We have wool that is better for the rugs but Lincoln is one of the best. Her loom is 24 inches. I want to make her on that is 2 piece 5 foot. That will be able to be used as either a 30 inch or 60 inch.wide.
  10. I don't think we need several bales. WE were thinking more like a couple fleeces. Several bales would be expensive to ship. Our Shetlands are not blanketed either. Outdoors with calf hutch run in shelters and fed large round bales.. We are friends with several national fleece judges and they would rather see vm than matted coats and damaged fiber from blankets. Would be interested in seeing what it would cost to get several fleeces shipped to Indiana if you are interested in the bother. We have only woven Shetland rugs and sleep mats but would like to do some Lincoln. This Lincoln rug was made bot a friend in Wales. She raises Lincolns.
  11. Nice. Question. Do you have Lincoln Longhair raw fleeces to sell? We want some for making rugs and sleep mats for reenactments. Will be weaving them on a peg loom.
  12. I think your pups will love it too. Lindy was pretty happy running on the peanutline with me.
  13. Her friend Lily is pictured with her. Lots of people were petting them and taking pictures.
  14. Resolution Run is an annual run to raise money for the Middlebury food pantry.
  15. I made a resolution to not do a very evil thing. Beretta forced me to break it before noon. This year we went to the Resolution Run to help and not run. We didn't run the 5k but were on the course helping. Beretta decided we would run to our assigned position instead of walk or drive. Then when the course sweep didn't do his job we ran the whole course to make sure everyone finished.. Ran a total of over 4 miles by 11 am. Someone tell Beretta I was not supposed to run.
