  1. 20 minute mile is good. 3 mph is just shy of what I average. Fat doesn’t seem to like that
  2. No and I argue they have not spice either. The vinegar destroys it.
  3. Super busy. Now going to see my cardiologist. No the two are not related
  4. Jamies. But about to put on outdoor shorts. Underwear included.
  5. I hope it's not a Garmin watch we are talking about.
  6. You forgot Kentucky Blue. And Acapulco Gold.
  7. I had to look that up. https://www.pennington.com/all-products/grass-seed/resources/all-you-need-to-know-about-zoysia-grass
  8. Is he eating out of the mulcher bag? Because he's not at the wheel actually getting any work done. Typical.
  9. Way better! But then my smart watch ain’t so smart because my hands don’t move so no record of steps! It might get my heart rate though…
  10. I mow my quadriplegic friend’s 5 acres.
  11. I sat on a riding lawn mower for 3 1/2 hours today and my watch showed my heart rate spiked almost as high as my one hour workout at the gym-- only for 3 1/2 hours! Needless to say, I burned a hell of a lot of fictitious calories. It said I had burned over 600 of them. So apparently the best way to lose weight is to sit on my phat ass on a riding lawn mower -- for 3 1/2 hours -- and then I can have that peanut butter milkshake -- that keeps entering my mind. Seriously, this appears to be a problem. https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/sports-fitness/f/forerunner-230-235/139300/calories-burnt-huge-help-with-understanding-activity-class-setting/773010 I'm going to wear my heart monitor next time I cut the grass with the riding lawn mower and debunk this POS over-the-top smart watch technology. Also, if your arms don't swing, it is impossible for it to determine if you are moving which is why cutting the lawn with a push mower won't tally your steps because your hands are in a fixed position.
  12. 5 acres of which I’m guessing 3 1/2 acres require mowing. I use her John Deere and it’s still 3 1/2 hours
  13. We have a lot of beautiful lakes around here but I think I'm with you. A good beach along the coastline is my book is tough to beat. Just listening to the surf is mesmerizing.
  14. The Burke-Gillman rails-to-trail line that wraps around Lake Washington in greater Seattle is a pretty sweet bike ride. There are breweries along the way if that's your thing.
  15. Yeah, I decided to go out for a walk instead out on Birch Bay (you reading this @Razors Edge?) and then agreed to mow the neighbor's lawn (a 3 hour job). So I'll be catching the highlights on the telly tonight.
  16. It’s a great way to lose weight. Since you do all that walking for free (though work) then the only you have to watch is what you’re consuming. Easier said than done but you have already solved half your problem! Go Petite!
  17. I read your response after and we both came to the same conclusion
  18. Depends on the length of your stride. I measured just slightly over 2000 for me. When I walk 3 miles on the treadmill, I get like 7100 steps. Yesterday I walked the park trail and between the mile posts I measured 2007 steps.
  19. Being on the treadmill allows me to count steps for sure. The watch is on the wrist and as long as I am free walking (no holding onto the rails) it is counting steps through the motion of my arm. I care because I get credit for my work challenge going on right now and I care because I am also involved in a work program that pays me to exercise. I also care because I would rather be outside doing it but you know 7 months out year it’s going to be messy.due to weather. Also even though I work from home, it can be a challenge to get outside during daylight hours because of my schedule. Often it’s dark so the gym serves me well. Basically there’s no excuse now.
