hanks man. Now I have some else to worry about.
No need to worry... plastic nano particles are just about everywhere. We are all doomed, we just don't know it.
If you want to get really worried read these; (or not)

In the collapse video there are clearly at least four work vehicles with yellow flashing lights on the span.
Yeah I noticed that too.

I switched from Verizon to Spectrum last year and I'm saving about $100 a month.
My Verizon bill is only $99.16 a month for our 2 phones.
I suppose could save some money If I switched... I've never took the time to look for cheaper service.
The only reason we use Verizon, was AT&T did not provide enough signal strength inside our old home, zero bars.

I thought this was about draft cards. Yes I still have my draft card, and my last classification card
I lost mine a long time ago.
The only lottery I won... Then 6 months before my date, the draft ended.

So how do people ever get cats in bags the first time?
I suggested a solution to WoBG once.. she did not like it at all.

And once you DO get the cat in a bag, do you know if it's dead or alive?
Apparently you won't know if Schrödinger's Cat is alive or not.

The spring broke.
Had that happen a few times on the old door/opener. Happy I wasn't in the garage when it did as it sounded like a gun shot, and I imagine would have scared the shit out of me.
If you don't install the safety cables inside the extension springs, when the spring breaks ( all of the springs eventually break) the spring will shoot across the garage like a missile.

Power was back on at 6:40 PM. So the power was off for 6 hours and 45 minutes. The generator was used for 5 hours and 45 minutes. Our house has a well, it nice to be able to flush. And it nice to have the furance on too.
Ameren still didn't provide a reason for the outage. We did a better job at explaining power outages to customers. I'm going to provide 'coaching' suggestions when I get their survey in a few days about the power outage.
The cable (our internet) was out for maybe 3 or 4 hours too. The cable was on the same pole.

Fortunately I have stuff backed up to more than one drive. I also have things backed up to One Drive. So I should be good.
Yeah I use an external harddrive, a SD card and Norton backs my data encrypted to their cloud.
I lost data once years ago. I decided that can't happen again.
An this reminds me... I need to open up the case of WoBG's desktop computer and clean it out.

I just got a text from the power company. The power should be back on at 7:30 PM.
They still haven't provided a cause for the outage.

The power went out at 11:55 AM. I took a short drive and found pole with the top broken off. The road was closed a electric utility trouble crew was there and the fire department was there too.
I suspect an insulator failed and power was going to ground thru the crossarm and the pole burned where the bolts thru the pole that hold the crossarm brace.
It looked kind of like this, without the fire.
I deployed my generator. at 12:55 PM, I only filled it with 2 gallons of gas (good for 4 hours)
I will need to add gas soon.

I've never read a credible explanation as to how shorting a stock hurts the company or the people who own the stock. If anything, shorting a stock would increase the price of the stock since those share are being purchased.
Lots of short sales can be like a self fulfilling prophecy. Lots of bets are placed that the stock will go down, and in many cased it does, even if the company was doing OK.

My old phone Galaxy S7 is Android. It still works and runs the few apps I will use.
One of these days I'll give in and get a new Galaxy. They are on version S24 now.
I'll probably just procrastinate until it dies or apps stop working.

We had her replace a chain and it was $100. $40 for the chain, $60 to put it on?
My Park chain tool I use on my Shimano chains would have paid for itself after one chain replacement. I have saved a lot of money over the last 20 years.

The monkfish at the Beach House Grill sounds great.
I like the Maryland Crab Cakes.
They have a sister restaurant we like too. https://www.pesciolinoosteria.com/ It's worth a the drive.
We met the owner at the Beach House and they are planning a separate gelato bar in the adjacent building, that they already own.
There are 3 state parks about 15 minutes from our home. One of them gets 2 million visitors in a year. We have WAY more local restaurants here in our town of 18,000 local residents compared to most, because of the many visitors. Starved Rock State Park has some good food there too. You just need to know when NOT to go to some of these places.

I replaced the extension springs on the garage doors at my old home. (Google found me this picture) The difficult part was lifting the door. If I recall the door was 175 pounds. I'd lock it open and replace the springs. When the door is open there is minimal tension the springs.
At my new home we have torsion springs. One broke after only 5 years. I called the guy for that one.
I probably could change a torsion spring, but I don't want too deal with all of the variables... the diameter of the spring wire. the length of the spring, how many turns you need to turn the spring to get to the correct tension for the weight of the door, how to wrap each wire drum the same so the door lifts the same on each side, etc...
Nope I called the guy. He was done in about 1 hours. He told he uses the app in his phone to calculate what needs to be done for the weight of my door. He used a larger diameter spring wire and the torsion springs are longer now too. He told it should last 10 years.

We have more than a few local independent restaurants. That's were we go out on our dates.
The only chain restaurants we visit are Cracker Barrel maybe once or twice a year. We drop the car off for maintenance and we walk about 300 yards to have lunch. Maybe 2 or 3 times a year we stop at Olive Garden.
These are just a few of the places we like.
