  1. Found the main house. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/637-N-Broadway-Saratoga-Springs-NY-12866/2061713669_zpid/?
  2. 20,000+ people, that's a city to me. Saranac Lake is not a town to me either, it has at least 5 buildings with elevators. That's pretty citified.
  3. Oligarchy yes, not so sure it's Russian given this....shrine(?) The gun bbq grill is a choice.
  4. "The 5 primary buildings include an underground tunnel from the main residence to one of the guest homes, a tree house sitting residence, 2 additional 2 bedroom guest homes, and an air stream "she shed". Amenities include a tennis court, basketball court, underground shooting range, snow sledding toboggan hill, & all artisan furnishings included throughout."
  5. God forbid they may take it.
  6. Every single room was a carefully crafted choice. I've never seen any thing like it outside of maybe a Schumacher movie. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/116-Bear-Cub-Ln-Lake-Placid-NY-12946/30429336_zpid/
  7. If I were to live in a city, and not a town or village as I prefer, this is the only thing I have found that is of interest to me. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/142-Us-Oval-Plattsburgh-NY-12903/70901166_zpid/?
  8. 1 cup flour, baking powder, salt, brown and granular sugar (1/8th of a cup each), butter milk (or regular milk and a big glop of Greek yogurt), two eggs separated--whip the whites to a stiff peak and fold them back into the batter, the tiniest pinch of cinnamon.
  9. I did. Boone is nice, but been there done that.
  10. No. NC and Tenn have possibilities. Basically if they are not part of the Appalachians then they are off the list.
  11. Adirondacks because of the park. New England because I find that part of the East Coast really pretty.
  12. South Carolina and Mississippi while I'm at it.
  13. Georgia too. Now that I am not taking my brother I'm willing to expand my options. Still really prefer the Adirondacks, and am not really looking outside of New England.
  14. It is now. On the list. I like the forge/fireplace. 70 acres too
  15. Pop did every day of his life. I always found them kinda gross. I put two unopened boxes in my box of his stuff. His glasses, and pocket knife, his leather coat, a silver quarter that he would shoot out of the air, and his handkerchiefs.
  16. The metal tea kettle is heated by the stove and is a heat source for the water. The pyrex cup is not heated by the microwave and acts as a heat sink cooling the water.
  17. @Airehead https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/46-Mountain-Meadows-Way-Long-Lake-NY-12847/30513090_zpid/ I could raise Irish Setters...
  18. On my favorites list now.
  19. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1746-Lake-Ozonia-Rd-Saint-Regis-Falls-NY-12980/32543055_zpid/ Needs work but I like that it's on a lake
  20. A lot of Lake Placid is over priced
  21. I added Bloomingdale to my favorites list today. That river is paddleable to downtown Saranac Lake.
  22. I did look at Academy Street. It's a pass because of the dogs. There is no yard at all.
  23. That is the trail that runs through Saranac Lake
