    My wife likes to stretch it out. Mid-January when we have a real tree. MAybe later this year as we just went with artificial trees.

    My state legislature keeps suing my state Governor over infection control efforts, which makes it even more difficult to follow.

    And particularly difficult when state and Federal mandates differ for workers in the same location . I have to admit I don’t know what my state’s current demands are. I assumed masks in indoor spaces, but didn’t see any this morning.

    For a home test, I think five days is where I’d put my confidence. Maybe four with a PCR. Maybe.

    I think not buying in peak markets is wise. It doesn’t matter, I’m not ready to buy there yet, anyhow. If we get priced out, so be it.

    I worked more. Double productivity in 2020, 1.5x for 2021. Stashing away cash for hopeful earlier retirement. Traveled, used caution but didn’t cancel any trips, so good memories made.

    CDC today recommended use of N95 or KN95 due to increased transmission rate of Omicron. I heard this on my way home from getting my car tire mended, where no one in the waiting room or staff were wearing a mask.

    Grocer’s prerogative. Extends sale ability. And when people shop from home, they get whatever they chose for you.

    My friend’s office-coworker’s daughter tested positive yesterday. They don’t mask at the office, share a phone, etc. We cancelled dinner plans with them last night. They are still debating driving to Indiana tomorrow, having taken a home antigen test today that was negative. I told them they are cray-cray, that they are seriously risking this as a premature, false negative. People will justify doing whatever they want to.

    I’m enjoying this 4 day holiday. After working the four days of Thanksgiving, this is my reward.

    I have cats and a fire. It’s sure to be a lazy morning, for a while yet at least.

    Tourism is 20% of their economy. And the people who are talking about excluding the visitors would also expel the Navy. A call to return Hawaii to it’s own independent Kingdom status. But that would be overtaken by the Chinese if the US were to somehow leave.
