Interesting movie on Netflix.
QuoteFilmmaker Barry Avrich chronicles the events of the largest art fraud in American history, when Knoedler & Company unwittingly purchased and sold fake works by famed artists. The “unwittingly” portion is only part of the intrigue. Would recommend. 🍿

Insurance rates going up? Stupid people doing stupid things have an impact on us all.
Not when they do it in the privacy of their own (or deceased in-laws’) home. Beside, DA Meter is inherently uninsured.

Wha does a man who died in 1813, never saw the US beyond the infancy of our journey, and still lived under the rule of a monarch, really know about the likely lifecycle and lifespan of a modern cycling forum that prohibits P&R but can’t seem to let it go?

he went to Menards and bought a device called a Klu
What did he do with this klu? If he put it under his pillow it would have a chance to seep into his unconscious as he slept. If he hung it on the refrigerator, it is probably doing about as much good as the round tuit Ralph keeps laying around for a rainy day.

If you are stuck in a hole, digging deeper usually doesn't help.
Sometimes government spending can be an investment towards something more and better, and sometimes it’s just giving money away.

Total spending approx $6000 on this bill. Someone will pay for it one way or the other.
Without turning this into P&R, the goal is that it will help grow the economy and repair people and industries decimated by the pandemic. Not for debate here if that will work, but it’s not designed to be a straight borrow against the next generations.

At $5-$10 a pack, that calculus changes a lot.
Yeah, no kid is smoking pot or doing other drugs because of a $5-10 cost, so surely cigarettes will fall out of favor!
Actually, I think all the kids vape their nicotine (and cannabis) now.
I personally only know two people that I know smoke cigarettes. Work colleagues. No one I know outside of work.

Oh, to be sure I don’t advise it becomes a routine thing. Maybe just enough to keep ‘em guessing. But if Ralph’s awake and wants to respond to emails at midnight occasionally, it’s not horrible in and of itself.
I get emails all night that affect my day the next day. I’ll peak at them if I’m awake, or else be surprised at what the day brings when I get to the office.
They call me if they need me after hours. I still have a pager, but no one bothers anymore. The benefit of having a work phone is it all gets shut down whenever I don’t want to be contacted.

Sort of the work equivalent of a late like.
It depends. Is it routine? Then absolutely, you show how dedicated to the job you are. Is it important/emotional? Don’t, you want the clarity of the next day to review before you hit send. And you also don’t want to seem that you are perseverating over it.

DA Meter Says 9.999
Had to take .001 off for not using the word National in the title I assume. That’s ok, with the cheap Ukrainian components I don’t trust that it’s accurate to 1/1000, anyway.

The guard was in, so we didn't get to wander in the parked cars, but we beat the crowds getting there at 10 am when the park opened (seems late to open to me). It has a great descent/climb from the entry gate & visitor center down to the car park, and there are lots of riders going up and down. Might drag the bike down there next time.
