We’ve been feeding feral cats this winter. Two raccoons come through nightly to investigate what’s been left for them. Our outdoor camera has proven to be very entertaining to watch.

I love thin mints and I love pancakes, but this is a situation where 2+2 is definitely less than 4!!
More like 400, as in blood glucose numbers.

And creating the crib notes for me and @Dottleshead to retire ASAP! Keep us advised!
I’m not sure you’d want to work 10-14 hours a day for 18 months, but if you do, save all your overtime pay in your retirement accounts. That is my “shortcut”.

How does that schedule work out??? Seems nutso
I worked Feb 12 until today, daily without a day off. 10-12 hour days.
Which is better than last year, where I was working 13-14 hour days from February until December. We recently hired some help. But I won’t get a full-time replacement until July.
I’m earning my FU money.

He doesn't have good patient bedside manners. He doesn't speak loud enough (when my mother is deaf in 1 ear.). He doesn't ask enough questions of her in Cantonese. Well, f*ck, he's not much.
Other than not speaking loudly enough in Cantonese, what other flaws in his bedside manner did she notice to say he’s “not much”?
Maybe he assumed that sister was there to act an an interpreter and to provide a clear history, and his style and approach would have been different if it were your mother there alone.

Of course we have to work an extra half hour a day for
Do you work an extra 1/2 hour on the Fridays from home? Even if you do, that’s 4 1/2 hours work over two weeks for 8 1/2 hours off.

There is an example of Darwinism patiently waiting.
In it’s literal sense, Darwinism loses once the progeny emerge.

I'm guessing it is more akin to a tetanus shot than a flu shot? Ie - longer duration of protection? Or is it annoying and requiring an annual boost?
Two shots about 6 weeks apart if I remember correctly. Should provide lasting benefits for years. My friends said it made them feel fluish, I didn’t notice anything other than mild injection area pain.

Probably best just to leave it at that.
