    Mmmm ...

Stolen. Now I'm going to go look for the aquarium channel and the snow channel.
  4. Small flakes then. Almost invisible.
  5. I tried to interview a phone once. No matter what I asked it had the same non answer.
  6. Comme ci comme ca. (Sorry about the missing genuflections)
  7. But then there would be triple X's not two.
  8. Thanks for sharing these thoughts and films about dying and burning to death. It really made my day.
  9. What are you suggesting this fine day? I can't help but think that somehow you have a point behind this thread. Just a suspicion you know.
  10. I too have watched a beheading. It's not something for the cafe. It's not like in the movies. There is no good way to die, but that one is a crap way to go.
  11. I'll never be "over" it but I will be able to put it behind me.
  12. Don't you love it when new neighbors demand change?
  13. Wholy carp, he's just a kid. Happy birthday Jsharr. I expect you will get lots of pairs of socks today as gifts.
  14. Eyetalian food can be dangerous. Get well soon.
  15. I started racing in 73 with 8th scale gas. Back then they were pan cars, no suspension, a modified airplane motor with a brake pad on the clutch bell. Foam tires and damn little traction. By 76 we were fully involved in 1/12 electric pan cars, both road and oval, asphalt and carpet. Another couple of years in dirt oval racing followed by a long layoff through the 80's and early 90's. In the 90's I returned to 1/10 touring cars but that was a time when the technology was changing very rapidly and the prices were leaving a normal budget behind. Today I find it obscenely expensive to race seriously, even if I still had the reflexes I had 20 years ago. Now I just dabble at it. After I was retired in 12 I got a part time job in a hobby shop RC department to pass on experience.
  16. Does she make sounds like a wookie? Mine did and I always thought we had misnamed him.
  17. If I did, I'd watch it or not in P&R.
  18. Obviously the jump distance is just a matter of speed. The stance however is under control of the driver while in the air. You can actually steer a little bit (very damn little) to point the car if it launches poorly. To control nose up/down in the air however is easier. To drop the nose brake a bit. To raise the nose hit the throttle. The most important thing however is to know that slower is faster. If you drive around with your hair on fire (sorry about that bot) you will go slower. Learn to squeeze into and out of the throttle gently and don't try to use a lot of brake, just back off the throttle sooner. Next, learn to dance with the car. Until you are very experienced, it's easiest if you sort of point your body in the direction the car is going right/left. This means you turn your body a bit in either direction and look at the car sort of over the shoulder (in front of the shoulder). Your brain automatically corrects for the right/left direction changes based on where your chest is pointing. This same trick applies to flying by the way. After that, I have only one other piece of advice. Don't drive the car.............be the car. Be the car.
