Yeah no joy. Waited until about 2:30 and then had to go. As of this morning no email that it’s ready for pick up but we woke up in our own beds at home so hopefully we can cancel for a refund when it comes in.

In Allan Park Michigan. My wife has been shopping for a specific type of beach chair that seem to be unavailable in the frozen north. In spite of the fact that contrary to popular lore, we actually do have beaches. So she found what she wanted on the Home Depot website for online purchase only, not sold in store. Anyway, if she had thought of this earlier, we could have had it delivered to a local store in Florida and picked it up there, but ordered it at the last minute to ship to Michigan and hoped it would get there in time. She got a message saying it would be ready for pickup on the 29th, and it shows it was loaded on a UPS truck at 7:14 in Detroit. So far nothing, but we are going to wait another hour and if still nothing we will cancel the order and head for the border.

I would wear that even if it does look like a rainbow flag.

Day two done. Camped at Walmart in Sidney Ohio nestled nice and snug between a couple of 18 wheelers. I'm feeling right at home. Took a side trip downtown to a Chinese restaurant cause we were both kind of feeling like something different than Cracker Barrel. The seating area was dark and empty and we were told it was takeout only. So we went next door to a pizza joint which we were happy with. Drove through high winds all day which really killed the gas mileage. Torrential rain through the northern part of Tennessee too. Now my wife is complaining about the cold and wants to turn around.
