  1. It is from now on. It is management not healing. My brother has been dealing with it for about 30 years.
  2. Did the best I've done in years. I stuck with the flourouro shit as long as I could stand it in February and it worked. He froze 5 places with nitrogen and will see me in 6 months.
  3. I remember my mom in heels, stiletto heels, about a 2 or 3 inch rise with a 1/2 inch point. Not every day wear, but when she would go out. They fascinated me, I used them as a weapon. This would have been late 50's early 60's.
  4. I was taking a welding test at work. Pulled out a tube of JB Weld. Got a pretty good reaction. 😊
  5. Are beans still picked by hand or is there a machine to pick them now ?
  6. Amazing the stuff that is built in your area
  7. Getting killed by a car while trying to get healthy doesn’t make sense. Drive to work and ride where it’s safe and fun
  8. I take metoprolol which lowers your heart rate. I went for a stress test and they said don't take metoprolol before the test, OK, I took it the night before. Day of the test about 8 AM the nurse is asking me when I took my metoprolol, "last night, about 10". she gives me a look. I was supposed to get my HR up to 137 for the test. They offered me a choice of treadmill or some kind of pill, I chose the treadmill. Walking pace, a slight incline, HR is not going up much. They offer the pill, I decline. Turn up the pace , a bit steeper, HR still low. Would you like a pill ? No. Jogging up a hill. Not quite there. Want a pill ? No. I really don't want a pill. Running up a fucking hill. The nurse is at my side yelling go go, 135, go, 136, come on go, 137 !!! The nurse was actually proud of me, I told her she helped a lot. The doc monitoring the whole thing was bemused. I felt like I had run a marathon, was sore for a couple days. I honestly think the whole thing was just a scam to get money from the insurance co. I have high blood pressure, no real heart trouble. All those years of bicycling and running built a strong foundation. I now rely on the pills, too much, I have to start some kind of cardio exercise.
  9. Tried digging up another today. There were 2 stumps, thought they were old ornamentals of some sort, with multiple trunks. Well one was, the other was an old Locust, about 16" diameter. Stopped the tractor dead. Tried nibbling at it from the edges, no go. Gave up before I broke something or got hurt.
  10. Supposed to peak around 3:15 here. I'll be driving home form work. Might turn on the headlights.
  11. I would be surprised if they are not there. The Adirondacks offer some pretty dense cover.
  12. It is amazing and frightening, how fast history accumulates. How many people come and go.
  13. Today is the first we've seen the sun in at least a week
  14. Very coincidently I had that song playing in my head this morning Now I get to listen to it. Thank You
  15. He does seem a bit skinny. Jason is feeding him more than the shelter, they had him for about two w or three weeks. Adopting a dog is more complicated than it used to be. They do a background check on the adopter and neuter the dog and get all the shots caught up. It was about 10 days after Jay said he would take Lucky that he brought him home.
  16. Mrs. Further says she see's Great Dane in Lucky's face and temperament.
  17. I have seen most of the native wildlife here. I would like to see the cats, bobcat and mountain lion. Mountain lion aren't officially here but I've seen enough trail cam pics to know they are. New bird species are always fun, but I don't track my sightings. I've never seen whales, that would be fun.
