I went to an ECHL game years ago, with the chain link fence thing. A player git nailed with a great hip checked, flipped him right over. They had to pause the game to get a ladder to unhook his skate from the top of the fencing.

Hurricanes in the mountains are WAY different than in flatlands. Water happens FAST. I'm guessing if that house was too close to the creek, the 2023 floods would have damaged it. Ask around.

Interestingly, for this funeral, it would have. The woman whose dad died gets it, on a level far deeper than all but one human I've ever met. Even as she suffers through some incredibly difficult health problems and has already about doubled her life expectancy, she firmly believes that Life is, indeed, good. This is where the math fails: The Triduum starts on Holy Thursday. Lent is right out then. The "season" of Lent is Ash Wednesday to Holy Thursday. Sundays, having their own distinction and only overridden by Solemnities, are not in the season of Lent. So there's still not 40 days. The whole "giving stuff up" actually has no official part of the Church teachings, it's a tradition, a personal penitential discipline Meaning everyone makes their own rules. I should just give it up for 40 minutes instead
