I'll try to include emotional reactions, but I'm not a real emotional guy. Friday I left work early (this made me feel OK) So we could drive to Norwalk CT. There was a restaurant next to the hotel that was a pleasant surprise (I felt pleasantly surprised). The cheap hotel was better than expected, which made me feel satisfied. Saturday started with the information that the free breakfast cost $12.99. This made me feel hungry still. I got cut off on the highway, but fortunately there was a driveway to dive into, so I did. This made the drivers in the exit lane of the Starbucks driveway feel terrified. But we were able to get coffee and breakfast food. We arrived at the car dealership in time to see our car driven onto the floor for delivery. I knew this was the last one in the country in these colors, but then found out it was about to be shipped to LA when I called, so they kept it for me. This made me feel successful . They knew we were in a hurry, so a real quick lesson, signing, my wife got to drive it out of the showroom. This made her feel ecstatic. Traffic was horrible, but the weather was glorious so a 200+ mile trip with the top down made me feel good. And we got home with 5 minutes to spare. Then we had friends over to drink beer and watch the Flyers lose to Dallas, which made me feel extremely angry, frustrated, let down, and anxious. Sunday was the day to clean the blower on the boiler to maybe stop the infrequent error codes. Too late, the error code was constant and we had no heat or hot water. This made me feel chilly. The manufacturer has agreed to replace the entire unit soon so I did not want to spend money fixing it. The Blower is $400. But since the problem was no voltage from the control board, the $300 price for that made me feel less disturbed. But a quick inspection showed some delamination, a quick solder joint reflow of the nearby transistor - fixed! This made me feel better about having spent too much on the car yesterday. On to hockey, we won easily, this made me feel like a winner. Listening to the Eagles game on the way home made me feel happy I was driving a nice new car with many other radio stations. The end.

I use that on my Aussie when she's not cooperating. She knows the drill, I point to my eyes, we stare until I tell her OK. Just long enough to get her focused again. Then she looks away before I do, she learned early that's the way it goes. Probably because it only happens when she's not doing something she's supposed to

64 all over the house. And no hot water. Went to the basement to check the boiler, it was flashing "F13". Combustion blower failure. A reset got it running, but not a good sign. I'm years past the blower warranty Fortunately, I already have a warranty claim in for the combustion chamber leaking condensate. They no longer make parts, so I get 75% towards a complete new unit. Got my approval today, now I just have to find the new unit they said to buy. Just got the house measured to replace all the 80 year old windows. It's gonna be toasty warm this winter!

Colors! Didn't even think of that! We're headed to Connecticut Saturday to pick up the car, the colors should be getting pretty good there. Have to be home by 4, but if we have time, we should put the top down and drive around before heading home! Thanks for the reminder!

If you only have 6 days don'r spend 2 travelling. The Caribbean is 3 or 4 hours for you. I'm partial to Puerto Rico, just don't spend the whole time in San Juan, there's better places. Don't go to Hispaniola, either side.

Good point. I definitely wasn't going to call him today and tell him I did his job for him...... I think he might have had an idea about this. We talked about how I bought a truck in Detroit, another in NY, a camper in Cincinnati.... And my wife was clear about the color she wanted. When he made the offer for black on black and my wife said yuck, he knew. I think the problem with him getting the car is that they have to trade something off their lot, and then the whole transportation cost thing adds up. I think I know where he was getting the car and i probably could have negotiated better price directly.

My wife has wanted a convertible for a long time. So far, we've had specific needs for all our vehicle purchases, so she's dealt with what I spec'd. (I'm getting to the guy). Now, it's her turn, we're spending a bunch, she should get exactly what she wants. I saw a listing for it at a dealer near our weekend campsite. Of course, the phone call confirmed nit was sold (take down the listing!) We went in anyway, I needed to get her to drive some cars and decide what she wanted. Which we did, sales guy was very helpful, but the color combination wasn't available even from any dealer he could swap with. He offered us a nice deal, but I'm not going to settle. I did find the exact car, there's one left in the country, it's a couple hundred miles away, but I got a great deal (I hope, waiting for a return call). Do I send the other salesman flowers and a Dear John letter?

Cooking down a bunch of tomatoes tonight. Pouring concrete Tomorrow, than Mass and I'm sure the wife will find something to plan after. Winery tour bike ride Sunday, then probably hanging with the BiL & SiL. The hot tub will be put to use.
