  1. Sad. You should have realized that there were a lot of stupid people decades ago. Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. Albert Einstein
  2. WoJSTL and I hope to go to the Grand Canyon in 2022. I lived in the next state over in New Mexico for 4 years but never took the opportunity to see the Grand Canyon.
  3. You need a Corvid shot. 12 shot in a 12-gauge should do the trick.
  4. Want me to get you some? Candy Corn was invented in the town were I now live: Belleville Illinois. Candy Corn History Did you know that the recipe for the delicious Candy Corn we know and love today, originated in Belleville, IL? Gustave and Albert Goelitz started their confectionary, Goelitz Candy Co. of Belleville, IL, in 1869. Now known as the Jelly Belly Candy Co., the second generation of the Goelitz family specialized in the mass production of Candy Corn around 1898. It originated from their recipe for Royal Buttercreams. While production techniques may have changed over the years, it's still the same yummy recipe. Read more about Jelly Belly's origins in Belleville, IL at jellybelly.com.
  5. I'm old enough now to think Mrs. Howell was hot.
  6. I read about a guy whose notifier for his mother in law was Elton John's The Bitch Is Back. Sparks flew when she found out.
  7. I bet the toilets don't have flush handles. I hope that the place has a good ventilation system.
  8. I wouldn't bother with the Dune books written by Herbert's son.
  9. I just ordered a knife sharpening kit that should arrive on Tuesday. The one in the wooden knife block in the kitchen is about shot. I've been tempted to get an obsidian bladed knife as the can be very, very sharp but brittle.

Vanity plates are silly. Just ask me. In the US Air Force we had this saying: The difference between the USAF and Boy Scouts is that the Scouts have adult leadership.
  11. 21.4 miles solo. 52°F at start. Windy and cloudy.
  12. I have a box of junk rags in the garage. Worn out socks have many uses such as cleaning bike chains or wiping up spills.
  13. It's not really an issue with engines that aren't direct injection. Seafoam, Techron, or other fuel system cleaner can clean out the mess. For engine oil blow-by to clog up the catalytic converter, you'd have to see blue smoke out the tail pipe. However with the new direct gasoline injection engines, it can be an issue. Fuel system cleaners or even quality gasoline additives don't get to the intake valves or passages unless you go through the trouble of spraying it down the intake every once in a while. Oil catch cans may help keep the intake valves from getting clogged up.
  14. I think that's true with most sons/fathers and girls/mothers. Of course the J. Geils Band has the best idea.
  15. 3.2 miles walking with WoJSTL. Too cool, windy, and damp to ride the tandem.
  16. Didn't really have one. I didn't have enough military leave saved up and WoJSTL needed to find a job to pay back college loans.
  17. My cardiologist put me on diuretics. I found out the hard way that diuretics and gout are not a good combination. I should write a Sci-Fi novel about it!
