  1. And happy birthday here too!!!
  2. Husband had a Firebird in the 70's. He loved it.
  3. A very re-used 20 oz Gatorade bottle.
  4. OMG!!!! Don't get me started!! FUNNEST TOY EVER!!!!!!!!!!! And it's still available??????? Whaaaattt??!!! Spirograph
  5. We don't have designated seating in my office. The spot I usually sit is situated between two fax machines. It's a stressful spot if everyone else decides to ignore them for a while! Especially when the phone is ringing off the hook!! Yes, I work at a hospital.
  6. Daughter had hers out at 16. Husband's was removed a couple years ago. He was a mess; little stones in the duct, pancreatitis, jaundiced... He's a furry guy, and they shaved his belly up to his pecs. I laughed.
  7. We were moving into this house when this area experienced a very rare tornado. I stuck a copy of the paper on top of a corner kitchen cabinet when we installed it. I figure whoever remodels our kitchen will get to check it out. Hopefully it will be interesting to them
  8. I hope they find the sonofabitch who shot the donkeys!! But ya, cute lambies!
  9. My thought exactly. Not a subject to parody anyway.
  10. See, going too fast and out if control is a huge fear for me especially on that sort of terrain. I scrub a LOT of speed with my rear brake on my fatty. I fear crashing big time. It's not funny to me at all. I ride by myself but often wonder how much room ahead and behind me others would have to ride to be safe. I would NOT want to be responsible for a pile up of friends. Do you think she misunderstands your cycling goals and enjoyment factor? Maybe she thinks you're all about speed and was seeking your approval? She's probably seen your bruises and maybe thinks that's how a person rides??? Either way, she needs a review of the DH cycling rules. Glad no one was seriously injured.
  11. Really? Bad enough you did that but then to boast about it. Hmmmm, not nice Dude.
  12. I've been enjoying that particular section a lot lately!
  13. Nothing serious from the top tube on this bike. Whacked myself really hard on a borrowed bike when I was a kid. Made me never want to do that again. I do think I broke my coccyx on the saddle on my first ride on this fatty though.
  14. There ya go. I think "relax" is the key.
  15. Psht. The "Golden Eagle" with a 52 will be next!
  16. Oh for Pete's sake, LJ! People are trying to talk bikes here! Stop throwing us off track with your adorable grand babies!!
  17. Shoot, that stand over would be amazing for my girl parts! Ha! An even shorter standover that the small Helga has?..... wow! My fatty is a 28.5". That Eagle is ridiculous. Ha! I can't imagine the work that derailier would have to do. You'd have to take into consideration derailier ground clearance when on the Eagle! I've actually got a couple brand new Maxxis Aggressors. I won them. Gotta sell them so I stop trying to buy a bike to put them on. Damn.
  18. Oh, believe me, I've thought about that quite a bit! But then I remind myself, "That which does not kill us, only make us stronger." So no going down in chainring size! Ok, so then I want bigger cassette gears. Well, ... ugh. Then I decide I want a single 30 tooth up front and a couple rings nearing dinner plate status on the back! "And would you like fries with that?" Oh just shut up and pedal, ya big puss!
  19. He's got a few events lined up at Mt Washington.
  20. Dang, how did I miss this?? I think I saw that article a while back. I'm totally intrigued with the 27.5 wheels. And I like the 3" tires. I don't know, would that be a pretty big difference over the 2.3" that are usually used? I like the low standover height they are shooting for since I have a 28" inseam. And that gearing is what I would really like on any off-road bikes. My fatty has a 28/38 up front and 11/32 on back. Since I really don't ride that bike on pavement, I really don't need the 38 up front; so a single up front would be just fine. But I really don't have a lot of pedal power (low back, hips, I don't know WTF), so that 42 on the back is very intriguing to me. That would be my ideal, in my dream land. (not sure if it is really what I need, but it seems like it would be good) If I didn't enjoy dinkin' around in the snow with my fatty, this would be a very good option for me for my trail riding. But if I were to get a 27.5 wheeled bike, it would be a full suspension. And since that involves mucho dinero, that won't be a happenin' thing any time soon. But I think these bikes look good. I like the wheel size, the 3" tires, and the gearing. But they are too middle of the road for me. I've got a fatty, want a FS, but these hit right in the middle. Still intriguing, tho.
  21. Took me a bit, but I just understood the avatar "George." Nice.
