  1. I musta been thirsty. Two a deez...
  2. Honestly, I work at a hospital and I see this quite often. I don't think @BuffJim is too far off base.
  3. Yup! Looking forward to it! It's quite the spectacle, and I enjoy it. Two teams I am interested in, so that's great. Love the commercials, so that's always fun. I just have to decide on supper. Pizza or (my) traditional ham sandwich from Oven King. 🤔 Ooh, either way I need to pick up some beer. @groupw, come on over. Nice and quiet here with some good football talk. 👍
  4. Ya, that can be a little frustrating.
  5. Winnah winnah! Ya, seasonal work. If he was afraid of seasonal work he would be looking for a home much farther south. And seasonal work, moving snow, is what you make of it. He's not in bad shape. If he were the steps would have made him say "Oh HELL no" and he wouldn't have shown this to us. I think it's a good looking home, interior looks liveable, it's in a great spot..... I have my heart set on this one.
  6. Oooh, I gotta look for em! I stumbled upon them a few years ago and realized how yummy they are.
  7. Yes. I noticed footprints in the snow about six winters ago. I had some kibble that my cats didn't want, so I would put some out at night where the footprints were. I eventually saw the cat. He was a gray and white, really skinny. I kept putting out food and he started hanging around. I couldn't get close to him though. I started moving the food dish closer to the back door of the garage. After a while I could talk to him without him running away. One day it was raining when I was putting out his food. I decided that was dumb for him to have to eat in the rain, so I moved his dish into the garage. He was hesitant but he came in and ate. Finally around Thanksgiving I was able to coax him inside the house. The other two cats we had at the time enjoyed outside time. We eventually installed kitty doors so they could all come and go. Hammer and Aimee had collars for the invisible fence I had installed. Gray Cat has always had free reign. He is street wise. He also appreciates his home.
  8. So this means you've been vaccinated, right? Not actually a "bad" test result.
  9. Ugh, so much $ to look at something. Then again I have to pay $300 just in travel costs for the geothermal guy. sigh...
  10. I was going to go to a small local bar to have dinner and watch the Super Bowl. Then I realized I wouldn't be able to watch/hear the commercials. Nope, I'll stay home.
  11. Ugh, tough situation. Won't let him do it at home? Probably not.
  12. They totally get my value, but HR hates that we are a union shop. I would have to commit to being per diem and accept the position before 30 days has passed. I could still come back as per diem after that but at a reduced rate of pay. Nope.
  13. Oof, brats and chips? That's a lot of sodium. Sounds like your body had a hearty craving. Midwestern gal gotta ask: what brats you guys get?
  14. It's Super Bowl weekend. Is this a reference to the Larry Bird commercial with lays potato chips??
  15. Keep the old equipment running! Sad that new stuff is such crap.
  16. I envy @Zephyr in that his job is way too much fun. I like that @BR46 planned well in his younger years. Not many people do that. (Thankfully HoSmudge did) I'm glad to hear @Airehead is going to teach at a university! I have an inkling of understanding for @Scrapr. HoSmudge and I were looking forward to me retiring. We talked about it last summer. My first day of retirement will be June 1. HoSmudge has me set up very nicely. I received his full retirement which includes good health insurance. I will start receiving a percentage of his SS in June or July. My 401k is doing well. Home and camp are paid as are the trucks. My boss wants me to come back as a per diem. I probably should, but I don't want to. I am not having fun at my job, and I think I can avoid the "widow's penalty" if I don't work. We'll see. 16 weeks, baby.
