I worked in a garage with a guy that had one of those. There is no way it was street legal but sometimes he drove it to work anyway. The one day we had to go to an inspection meeting after work. He was the only one of us that had a back seat so he offered to drive. We had quite the discussion about what he was going to say if he got pulled over. Nobody said a work.
