Passed some horses with their winter coats on, then on the way home had to manoeuvre through the crowds gathering for the All Ireland Senior Gaelic Football Final between Dublin and Mayo. Garda {police) armed support unit were putting on a show of force. More to do with a Dublin drug gang war than any terrorist threat Jones's Road with railway bridge and stadium on left. Mayo colours are green and red, Dublin are light blue and dark blue.

My earliest memories of Robin Hood was the 1950s B&W TV series with Richard Greene as Robin. We used to watch it in the home of our only 'gang member' who had a TV. -

I'm not free to do Germany till June 2018. -
About 38kms with about 500 metres of climbing with a max of 12%.

I took a diversion from work four years ago and I'm still on it.

These stories make me appreciate where I live. A mile from a beach, five from the mountains, four from the airport, one from the city centre, half from a hospital and two universities within a two mile radius. No forest fires, no hurricanes, no earthquakes, no extremes of heat, humidity or cold. The only down side is having to listen to the locals complaining about everything.

Thankfully I'm not that bad and hopefully never will be. I'd never have been diagnosed if it weren't for a free eye test for diabetic retinopathy I had due to being pre-diabetic which turned up negative. My sight is generally good and only wear glasses when reading.

If you're going to do it, just do it, don't take a f'n evening class.
