  1. That’s fine John, it still served a useful point raising purpose, you know I mean no offence to you personally, anyway.
  2. Ja I hear it’s all wine there, wine all the way, never runs out either, if it’s low they just make more out of water: brilliant ?
  3. A fair point, we’ll made. After a break of about 8 years without owning a vehicle I may have some credit in the bank on my carbon consumption, though, John, would you agree? And I’ll be getting a vehicle with economy in fuel usage in my mynde, so I feel I tread as lightly on this planet as I can. Edit to add, YMMV.
  4. If climate change could be fixed with deflection or burying one’s head in sand or even by Great good humour you, jsharr, would have a Nobel Peace Prize or three by now.
  5. There is a suburb of Sheffield called Halfway, so you’ll see buses with Halfway as a destination: WTF use is a bus only going half way, I has to axe mesen?
  6. There’s an opening awaiting a Quiet Texican; he has his swagger but it all nicely contained for when called upon, till then, he just goes quietly about his business and keeps his powders dry, but stir him, give him cause, and see what fury is unleashed. Twice as more effective by far, tha knows, trust a Quiet Tyke on this matter, my dearest sharr.
  7. Chuffed is about right, mate. A little flushed now, too, as half the beer is in me.
  8. That it be ? the ale isn’t half bad, either.
  9. Sorry, you did say that already. Yelling is nearly allus a bad thing IMO and best avoided if at all possible, and it nearly allus is possible. ?

    A let off

I was let off lightly with no need to feel cut up about it, the visit to dermatology to have a thing on my back removed for examination: it has disappeared of its own volition. Result, so I immediately repaired to my local watering hole, the Francis Newton, which has a beer fest in progress, a pint of Riders on the Storm from local brewer Abbeydale, and again, all still seems right with the world today, Cheers!
  11. But that was in another country, and besides, the wench is dead.
  12. It has sesame and sugar, does it sound it? ’tain’t nut free though.
  13. Absolutely I did, your face and attitude I can do nothing about. There’s no difference who pays there’s no such thing as a free lunch; you do understand that, right?
  14. I’m thinking how hard can it be to make? Not very Shirley since it sesame paste (tahini) and sugar or better still, honey. I’ll do a little looking into methodology.
  15. No jsharr, but it does look interesting, and I shall watch it later, in the waiting room at dermatology probably, heading there in a bit.

    YIB

2 weeks ago I clumsily broke the 3.2mm HSS bit, was a bit gutted, especially at my clumsiness being the cause, it was avoidable. Luckily, this week at Aldi they had sets on special offer, got a 15 piece HSS set including that same size I broke, for 2.99, so chuffed with that.?
  17. Neither would it get up Quiet Lane in Whitely Woods, nor through the gate into Cumberland Field at Dowall Hall Farm, Glutton Bridge, my two most visited camping spots locally: oh well <sigh>
  18. That’s very olde school thinking John and does not cut it in these days of climate change: having the available funds does not make it right to misuse them on wasteful greenhouse gas producing vehicles, we must all take responsibility for our own impact on resources and pollution, and do the right thing, for the sake of the future of our planet, and our children and grandchildren and the generations beyond these.
  19. Any of you enjoy halva? Aka halawa? I don’t often eat sweet stuff but have been into this again a lot lately, with pistachios, having some with espresso now, after lunch. Delicious.
  20. A vote for Postal voting here, too, Late, standing in line to cast your ballot is for fools these days.
  21. Just like the lark ascending SS you left your everyday cares behind and soared above it all on wings of velo. ?
