This makes me smile. Eric Clapton's Brownie. His first Stratocaster. If you've heard Cream and the Layla solo, you've heard this guitar. This is the one that gave him his signature sound. We've only got it for about one more month, then this exhibit closes.

I'll be roasting and restocking the freezer. I think I'm down to one pack in there right now. It also means it's time for stuffed flank steak with roasted corn and papas con chili on the side.

I only walk the dogs in the grass this time of year. The pavement is about 150F and the sidewalks are only 4 or 5 degrees lower. If we go to the vet, I carry them in from the car.

It was a great day. I hope I didn't bore you folks too much. I tend to dump a lot of information when I'm there. It's my happy place. I can't wait to tour more forumites around the MIM if you come to town.

I'm speaking at a writer's group this afternoon, then on Sunday it's MIM time with @groupw and his lovely wife. Luckily, all activities are in airconditioned comfort this weekend.

I have since 1974. I was in SoCal before that. We spent a lot of time out in the Indio/Palm Springs area, so I've been a desert rat most of my life.

That temp was with window shades and tint. It's all kinds of fun when you grab the seatbelt and get branded by the metal tab.

Air temp is 116F. Pavement temp in front of my house: Car interior (measured on the window exterior so probably a little higher inside): Welcome to July in Phoenix. The humidity is coming next week, so Temps should drop to about 110F.
