You should try some. A lot of folks like it, I have had some that is pretty good. Kinda odd at first, but not oddly odd or odd in an odd way. I would drink some, but they want a princely sum for it around here. Hippies must have lots of money, I think.
The kombucha with chia seeds is really nice, btw.
Love it but don’t have it that often cos I’m a poor hippie ?

Your kitchen is Faaannccyy! My budget is not $40 000 for sure! @Petite, mine is also a galley kitchen, but a decent size. The ceiling has to come down, and walls as well. Yes, sink in front on window - not going with a dishwasher so the sink is important - one large sink. Now I'm trying to decide on colors, painted, which I wanted is 15% more than stained. I could go with a dark stain - almost dark brown/grey and light counters - so hard to decide. Recessed lighting is what I will change to for sure - I'm keeping the appliance I have because they work - will have to get a microwave/hood

I'm planning a new kitchen and want to make sure I get what I need for my budget - there is so much to consider and I'm overwhelmed!

No I don't like cold stuff, unless it's wine or beer. I'm a Vata

You are likely talking 40 grand or more for what you want to do. Can you do it in stages? Start with ceiling and make sure it isn't structural.
? $40!! Can’t be!
? good thinking Aire - maybe tackle ceiling and lighting first

How are your cabinets? We repainted ours and they are dope now. There is a rustoleum kit from the home depot that you can use. New paint and new hardware and they are all different now. You can do this. Then paint the walls. Grab you some new appliances and have them delivered and installed. Then you can rip out the old floor and install a laminate floor. They are easy, durable, and look dope as shit. Do that. Then finally have someone put a new counter top on. You can add little details like a back splash and stripper pole in the corner and you are set.
The cabinets are old and bad! I painted them when I moved in - they were puke brown yellow, I painted them grey and white - they really have to be replaced - everything does - even the ceiling which is plaster texture on crack
-
I interviewed a contractor today - but I'm still clueless when it comes to pricing. I'm thinking I need to go cabinet and counter shopping and see how much that costs.
What percentage do you think labor should be?
@BR46 I wish I could do this myself!!

I want to redo my kitchen - really everything needs to be replaced from the ceiling to the floor. Where do I begin?
Tell me your best and worst experience with this.

I had a yellow one with black racing stripes painted by the Dyson racing team - it didn’t make it fast ?

Good Morning....Well...due to my cold and flu episodes...I didn't use my soy milk as fast as usual (which is slow...it goes in my yogurt & oats)...Well... Just a PSA....Soy Milk DOES GO BAD...now granted I am a month...a month past the fresh til date.... It was chunky and had mold growing in it..... Oh well I still managed something else for breakfast!

Let's see..one nostril is slightly bigger than the other. I don't know why.
1 ear sticks out a tiny bit more than the other...because of surgery as a kid.
Very dry skin on my legs... problem partially solved when I wear shorts at home in winter. Seriously, it works. Home heat is good. Plus very strong body lotion.
Vegetable glycerin really helps me with dry skin on my legs! My skin is now better than it has ever been! I put it on after a shower and try to only shower every other day in the winter

I’ve made pesto with them - really yummy

I would have been so into Woodstock. I would have walked around naked in the mud, drunk out of my mind, for days.
Woodstock is a short drive north of me - the locals still walk around naked in the mud and the have drum circle every Sunday afternoon in the town square

I think I need to get elf shoes because my toes always rub the top of the toes of my shoes. An old cow-orker said that he and his friends always made fun of people whose shoes sort of curled up. Bastard! I liked shoes with big toe boxes, but they are sort of butt-ugly. Comfy though! While we're on toes, also self-diagnosed Morton's toe where the second is slightly longer than the big, which I think is why running did not agree with my knees.
That's enough for now!
I'm kinda obsessed with feet! and no, that's not my defect. A lot of my students defects are due to shoes!!! shoes are just generally bad! we evolved to be barefoot. An Ralph you are right about big toe boxes - our shoes should be wider on the toe than the rest of the shoe, our toes should be able to spread and be the widest part of our foot. Follow the foot collective on Instagram or facebook. working with your feet and fix a lot of other issues in your body.
