  1. It's Even Worse Than You Think, What the Trump Administration is doing to America, by David Cay Johnston.
  2. until

How do I name the site for a day?
  3. Financial support? Purchased it?
  4. I'm reasonably sure I know who one of them would be,
  5. Or, taking a heavy boat out of the water on a steep ramp, without using the parking brake.
  6. That's why the British drink their beer at room temperature; Lucas makes the refrigerator.
  7. IOW, keeping the oligarchs and kleptocrats happy.
  8. I'm almost always up anyway, so I'll watch it.
  9. Chocolate is my downfall. Have to learn to portion it out!
  10. I'm very serious. I watched it, and then downloaded it off iTunes.
  11. I'm cautiously blown away! I've had some health problems pop up in the last few years, like moderately high blood pressure, and type 2 diabetes. I have a niece who swears by her and her family's vegan diet. I'm going to do some more research! I've struggled with losing weight, especially since I can't ride a bike anymore (although I do walk a fair amount, and am back on my treadmill almost daily). I've never been a big red meat eater, but I do eat fish and chicken. This mandates further research. Thank you!
  12. Bought one of those when i got my house two years ago. Still nervous on it, as I still have balance problems, but it's much better than the smaller one I had. Considering going up to the 7 foot version.
  13. I haven't kept up with towing power of most sedans these days, but that seems a little far fetched. My Fusion, with the 2.0L EcoBoost, is only rated to tow 2,000 lbs, and that's the highest rating for the Fusion. My Explorer, with the same engine, is rated at 3,000, which would still be too close for comfort for me.
  14. I did some cursory research on these when I retired, but my SO wasn't keen on the idea. Nor were my kids, because of my physical limitations. I was also going to buy a truck to tow with, but my family convinced me that, as I had never been a camper before, I could spend a lot of nights in a hotel/motel for a lot less money. Looks like a nice little unit though.
  15. Gotcha. One of my daughters is a senior engineer at Mahle, a German company that makes pistons and connecting rods for many automakers, both foreign and domestic. She's a little concerned, what with the coming of electric cars, although she's been there almost twenty years, and progressed through the ranks, starting as a receptionist. She's also working on a Master's in Engineering Management, so hopefully she'll be around a while with them.
  16. Scotch sounds appetizing. I officially retired 3/19/16, although I haven't worked since 8/17/14. Spent the intervening period being reassembled and lots and lots of physical therapy, on medical leave . I miss the people, and the job was a good one, working for a great employer, Apple, but I can't hustle like I used to, and it is nice not to have to worry about working again (well, maybe, depending on how bad the Republicans screw up the economy).
  17. First house when we came to the U S, in 1953. The house is still there, although the last time I drove by, about 15 years ago, the neighborhood had gone to hell in a hand basket, and there was at least one junk car on the lawn. That's me, on the porch, next to my dad.
  18. $99,000 for just over a quarter acre is a good price? Unbelievable!
  19. I've always found it fascinating when people point out other's "undying loyalty" to Apple. It's almost as if they don't realize their own undying loyalty to the other 90% of the market.
