  1. ...or still willing to deal with it?
  2. That's two more than I hear touting the Lions or Jets
  3. Probably best - for Ben and the Steelers. The Browns would have chewed him up and spit him out, and he would have had several years before finding a better home. Like the Lions, do the Jets ever look promising? I think they never even overshadow the Giants, let alone stand-out enough to get fans too excited The Browns seem better at looking good and then imploding. Jets and Lions? Just good at never getting good?
  4. Do the Lions ever build up your hopes before dashing them? Maybe back with Sanders?
  5. Are you sure you are remembering that correctly???? I could see forgetting the time I spent thinking about that sort of thing
  6. I'm not sure how to read this
  7. I think Dennis is correct in always pushing his Michael Pollan quote - "Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants". Fruits, veggies, and fish are my faves.
  8. Damn! That is way fancier than ours! We have one of these:
  9. When is winter? When it hits a low of 45????? Winter "week", maybe???
  10. I would hope so! I can show you teachers, cops, military folks, and all number of "normal" folks who retired multi-millionaires! There are smart people everywhere (and dopes), and it is wrong to judge folks by their job titles just like it is wrong to judge them by their net worth. Neither shows any real insight into a person. I like "people" not "professions", and this place (the Cafe) has a nice representation of folks across the whole spectrum, and it is nice to see how "normal" and good most are regardless of where they live, what they do, and how much they have/don't have. On the other hand, Chevy Chase movies were often a hoot! And those two were more wily than their dirty clothes portrayed. Wolves in sheep's clothing?
  11. Miami was shockingly bug free. And the Everglades. Is that normal, seasonal, or just good luck we had?
  12. The Browns Is there a more depressing team in the NFL? Consistently? I can't think of any.
  13. But the camera should zoom on him and they need to shrink his dais. I'm fine with him - first time watching him - but he comes off "small". I blame the production team!
  14. I'm now stuck waiting for the snow we got to melt. Snow's great when it is falling, and is great when skiing, but pretty much the other 90% of the time, it is just awful having it around. The weather doesn't look like it will melt it any time soon
  15. ...and doesn't really make that show "POP" like Alex did. I feel like Ken would benefit from a smaller dais/podium. He looks smaller than Alex.
  16. I'd say almost every word I know I can't remember where I learned it. Even the ones I highlighted last week are fading! Maybe the kitchen sink view of this is that it is healthy to "forget" a lot. I think it was Marilu Henner - who has a perfect memory - who made me realize a great memory is a dangerous thing from a psychological perspective.
  17. What's a gig like that pay? Asking for a friend!
  18. A meter in diameter! And 72,000kph. We're not savages!
  19. He better dig into the rear tire situation.
  20. Boom! We're gonna fix these dopey dictionaries whether they like it or not! These are rear tire issues that anyone taking a nice long kitchen window view of them would see them as something we can all agree on.
  21. BOOM! Now we're cooking with gas, baby! Comic strip power!
