  1. It is also common that people with significant estates set up wills and trust funds to distribute the money at a later time in their child's life, so as not to negatively impact their child's initiative and desire to succeed on their own. BTW, if you give large sums of money to your children or items worth large sums of money, you may want to investigate the tax laws in your state and country before proceeding.
  2. I would not have wanted my parents to give me a house or a car or anything else of large monetary value. I wanted to make my own way in life. My first car and my first house meant a lot to me because they were the result of my own efforts and desires. I can't imagine ever enjoying living in a house that my father paid for.
  3. Lots of road rash and broke my pelvis in two places. Once my pelvis healed, I was back on the bike.
  4. The gates are there to prevent cars from traveling on old US 17. This 9 mile portion of 17 was replaced with a new 4-lane highway, so they blocked this section off and designated it strictly for walking, jogging and cycling. You are supposed to go around the gate. I rode it many times and knew this, but my brain wasn't paying attention that day, for some reason. Since there isn't any traffic and on Father's Day, the place was essentially deserted, it was just me and the road (and the rider way up ahead of me). I guess I just zoned out staring at the pavement just a few feet ahead of

    Poo

I would guess that poo-teen and a butt roast would go quite well together.
  6. I was riding at about 20 mph trying to catch the rider ahead of me. Of course, I had my head down for maximum aero advantage. I never saw it until I was airborne.
  7. You have a pretty nice seat as well.

    Butt’s on

Instead of napkins, you should use butt wipes.
  9. @az_cyclist hasn't posted since the terrible news from Arizona yesterday. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/06/19/us/show-low-bike-race-crash-shooting-arizona.html
  10. What do you think he uses instead of an axe?
  11. Had I tried to calculate the winning percentage of 9 out of 10, I would have come up with 90%. Computers know better. It is a good thing that computers will soon be driving all of our cars.
  12. Labor Day and Presidents Day are stupid and useless federal holidays. Congress needs to get rid of those imbecilic celebrations. We don't need a day off to celebrate laborers or past presidents. Let's move on. The greatest achievement of mankind was landing on the moon. No holiday. Presidents who sucked, holiday.
  13. So if several unruly sailors fresh from bootcamp were expelled from the Navy, would they be referred to as "discharged seamen"?
  14. I thought I heard on the news that Texas was the first state to recognize Juneteenth as a holiday.

  16. The tiled lawn is insane! Unless the grass is fake. My neighbor constructed a walkway to his mailbox using similar size concrete pieces/tiles/whatever. He spaced them about like shown in the pic above. The grass is constantly overgrowing the tiles and, as a result, his walkway always looks like crap.
  17. Why are you laughing? I'm serious.
  18. So where is the model?
  19. On Jsharr's advice, I bought a set of tires from Discount Tire a couple years ago. I was very pleased with their work and the prices. Much thanks, Jsharr.
  20. BTW, Mayim is an anagram for "I'm Amy".
  21. He needs a car that has a place to store a spare tire.
